Soldier's Gun or Writer's Pen

A Soldier increases atrocity
He decreases rationality, humanity!
A writer writes, does not kill
Destructive brains, he tries to heal!

Doing wars, building soldiers
Bomb schools and hating writers!
Who is needful, whom we want most
A writer's desk or a soldier's post!

Writer has nothing to fear
Killing tools he does not bear!
He writes to live and let live
Teach and preach how to survive!

A soldier is nervous, standby
With loaded gun and open eye!
Two choices, to kill or die
To rationality, he says good-bye!

One life and a body to go
Right things we should do!
Sending people in order to kill
Stop such senseless, deadly will!

A Soldier increases atrocity

The poem is great,truthful and candid. Yet I wonder why do we always focus our energy on the negative rather that on the positive.Sometimes a Soldier does not have a choice in the matter, so then what? Soldier are suppose to follow orders. So because of that should we blame them! I do understand that sometimes [a lot of times] soldiers step their boundaries and act on their own. This is unacceptable. This is where most individuals realized that the lines has been crossed. I agree that it is better to put aside all discord,hatred,and everything else that cause the human race to act in such primitive ways at times. However we are greedy. People in Power wants more,it is the nature of the Beast. The more they get,the more power,so they think or believe. We should separate the good from the bad so as find some balance where we can achieve harmony,peace, and everything else that comes when governments do work together. You might think I'm crazy,but the key is to find people who are willing to work together, and do not threaten each other with who will be the one pushing that little buttom who holds the "big boom". it is almost like a child's play. Very immature but effective at times

Deffensive war is understanable but offensive! Attacking another country, killing innocent civilians without any genuine reason!!!!!!!! It is worst than insanity! It is satanic! unspeakable!!!!!!! Surprisingly, Governments of the whole world clapped on bush and gave him OK signal to go ahead to do war and destruction. What a democratic world we live in! It was a war "hundred against one!" Bush did a war against children! He orchastrated and or masterminded everything from the fall of WTC to Massacre in IRAQ. What did he bring for us???? The fall of world trade center is still a mystry! Perhaps few did it but for their offense bush did not have to wipe out vast population of two countries. Wow! Heroic! Bush will be rewarded with heaven by jesus!!! Isn't it!!

chanmok I think you took my comment the wrong way. I rather be a peaceful warrior than a hateful soldier. If we as "The Human Race" keep hating,not only by our words or actions but by the way we feel about each other, we do not have to go to Foreign Countries to start a Battle, and kill Innocent Bystanders. We do that by just spreading more HATE. We do not a Riffle, a Sword, a Knife or a grenade to kill anyone. WE ALREADY DO IT BY THE WAY WE BEHAVE TOWARD EACH OTHER. WORDS HAVE A WAY WITH THE HUMAN RACE. Whether we want to believe it or not. WE have a way of SPREADING HATE. Take for example the Former President of South Korea,on Saturday Mr. Roh Moo Hyun for whatever reason decided to take his own life by leaping to his death from a hill behind his house. My question is How many skeletons did he have in his closet, that prompt him to act in such a way? Most likely He felt guilty about something in order to take such drastic measures. Take a look @ North Korea now and the issue about wanting to do more testing with Nuclear Power. Some Countries are trying to stop the testing while others just like to put more wood in the fire. Do they do it in order to see how we as a Nation will react, now that we have a new President. Or do they do it because they just feel that every time they say they are going to do the test is a POWER RUSH. Well I guess this time who are we going to blame! Now Why do we have to bring God and Jesus in this mess? He is the one who gave us the Intellect to choose right from wrong, so it is up to use it accordingly. By the way the GOD I believe in is a GOD that is Merciful,Forgiven and Loving so YES I dare to say that maybe He will forgive. However that is not my call to make. I believe that the only way to achieve something is to start working fron the inside out [with this I mean that if we do not work within our family nucleaus,why should we bother].

Worldwide, it is well established that JESUS died for our sin and he even didn't let his followers strike against the evil party. He took the severe pain and taught us something! What that would be! For sure, Bush regime didn't follow the doctrines of Jesus. Jesus found and established humanity, a guide line for people to follow and live. He never inspired to take a gun in one hand and bible in the other hand!!!We always belive in Governmental press release and become patriots on that. Hence, we fail to trace out who killed Kennedy? Who really masterminded to destroy WTC and why? We failed to find the real cause of TSUNAMI of 2004. We are not equipped to come with the truth. We fail to use our own brain and we like to live what our democratic leader did or do! Jesus was not patriot for a single land, neither for ISrael only! He was for all, for everybody in the world. For sure, Jesus didn't want us to live with guns, bombs, WMD, Nuke of Mr.Bush only or of Mr. Saddam. Even today, Jesus doesn't live with the missile testings of Iranian President or with the demonic test for TSUNAMIES or with the NUKE tests of NORTH KOREA! Or, with Israels aggression policy. ______virmartorres 2, I love your saying, "WORDS HAVE A WAY IN HUMAN RACE". Let's use words but not guns to stop dispute. You see, by killing the enemies never came peace in the world. Crusade couldn't bring peace, First World War and Second World War failed to bring peace. Korean war, Vietnam war, Falkland War, African wars, Latin American Wars, wars in Afghanistan and in IRAQ all devil acts are boositing, refueling and charging to farhter the damage of the teachings of Jesus and the path of HUMANITY.

You do not have to apologized. It is not the way I see it either. When I read something I try to break the sentences so that I may understand better the content rather than passed judgement over it. I did not mean to be so hard with words,rather I was trying to understand why you wrote the way you did. Your poems are always candid ans well written as I mentioned. I guess we rely on others to tell us whether things are facts or not. USA did not start WWI or WWII, however they did get involve. But what is amazing however is that every time something happen in another Country they come knocking on our DOORS. SO IF WE ARE SUCH EVIL NATION WHY IS IT THAT EVERY TIME WHEN ANOTHER NATION IS IN NEED WE ARE WILLING TO HELP. So my point is when I looked @ how everything is lay out, We are doomed if we do and doomed if we don't. That is the way it is with the Human Race. WE ARE NEVER GOING TO BE PLEASED. It would be to easy. Anyway the way I see things and how others view it are completely different. Which is ok, because we could not possibly see everything in the same light. Originality would be lost if everybody would think the same way.

Hi Chan. In fact, you are both right, according to the theory of relativity. you looked just from different sides, using different perspectives, social and spiritual. Everyone has his own truth and own perspective. According to the social perspective, every government has its own reasons to do something, which can be good or bad. And these reasons, as you know, searching of benefits from other countries, because every country has different necessary resources. So, the wars are also linked to these resources, including the land of the country. In Iraq, Bush was planning to get a lot of gas, oil, and of course, he explained his action, like to destroy terrorists to stop their attac. A lot of wars are started because of land, to get more land. And in all this the big money, power are rotated; as a method of actions, by covering these actions into peaceful intentions. What about the soldiers? They just do their job, because of money, also incorrectly using their fulfilment. From the spiritual view, all of us lost our responsibility for our life. We just put this important thing to others. Why we should be responsible for life? Because, we build our life by thoughts. Maybe, you heard, that the collective conscious, the collective negative thoughts can do big work in the whole world. This big energy makes our thoughts material, true. It is difficult to believe in such things, but, this happens every time. By our thoughts, we increase the possibility of happening of some actions. You may not agree, as I said before, I just looked from different perspective. So, you will be also right.

What a pleasent surprise! I am very glad to have few words of your heart. virmarytorres2, is more right than me. She is a very decent and kind lady. I write few words in a poem but she writes pages. Her enthusiasm helps me a lot to keep going. I don't think she can hurt anybody if it is not for deffensive causes. One thing for sure that a government doesn't mean a country. Bush regime was a Government but was not USA. USA and many other countries were made for the betterment of the people. For me, it was USA from where I learnt deeply not to discriminate anyone based on his or her's country of origin, nationality, color of skin, belief and many other vital humaniterian guidelines to uphold and upgrade human species. Thanks to USA. But here, Bush is an individual and a gang member who violated US Constitution in various ways as was well described and defined by one ex-Attorney General of USA. Here, I am talking about senseless wars and failed wars that caused deaths of innocents and under aged soldiers. For Bush people, america got some bad images but america and bush are two different things. World loves America! Who didn't eat American money? The whole world did! But in Bush's evil work, USA got a black face. I hope, world wide people can now understand that bush is the guilty not USA. I hope they re-stored the respect RESPECT and LOVE for USA! USA needs them and they need USA! Bush tried to misguide and mislead America but good old America caught him red-handed! We all know who made Talibans and gave them guns! We smell who could have engineered to destroy WTC! We know what happened to Bush's INTELLIGENCE! we know what happened to Rumsfeld! we know what may happen to Dick C. We know what may happen to imposter MR. Bush himself for orchestrating too many bad things. History and human conscience in today's world, will obviously find the truth behind all killings and evil works of Bush dynesty. I hope I can live to collect all pieces of dirty works rendered by big bush and kid BUSH. People of the USA are awaken now. They already removed and changed the killer regime. We all can have peace now. America will live in the path of good doctrines without BUsh. Bush is nobody! But Bush emptied America's wealth for personal reasonings! He should be held responsible, no immunity! OBAMA regime is trying to shake hands to neighbors and he is the man to get back the glory of the land of charity. Let's sing the song again______"This land is your land, this land is my land, from California to NewYork Island.....This land is for you and for me..."

Mr. chanmok how many times do I have to tell you that I just write in respond to what I read from your poem. You write more than I do. You are the expert. I just throw in a few words.However I think that we 3 have something in common which is our Spirituality. Sereen,379 did mention the fact our world should not only be build in accordance to financial gain, or power, or anything else that might lead those who are already in high offices to want more,to become more selfish, and to forget those who do not have anything. It is true that many wars start because of land, territory, properties, whether this part of the river bank should be given to this Country or that Country. When do we stop! It is amazing how every day I see the human race fighting not just for a piece of land, but they are fighting because of the race, religious believes, for the different tribes, whether this child should date that boy, or not, and if she is dating that one she might be stone to death by her own family. It is all the same. We forget that we are a big MELTING POT. That at the end of the day whether is your God or my God, you or the next door person might go hungry because someone does not care enough. I just do not get it. When are we going to wake up and realize that it will be better if we all work together. I do believe that most people want a better world. If we keep dwelling in the negative instead of bringing out the positive, If we do not accept those who lives close to us, if we do not open our arms to those who are in need, I guess it does not matter who is in Office because the work needs to be done by many not just by few. Then we can go on singing, right chanmok,

That is the reason why I remain HOPEFUL, call me crazy but I do. because the minute you give up, that is when you will know defeat. I'm not a quitter. There is a quote that I think it goes like this "Hope is not a dream but a way of making dreams become reality" It is on that line and I do not remember the Author, but it kind of stuck with me, while I was going thru school.I guess like chanmok had said in many of his poems we not only have to learn to love others but also we need to love ourselves because when we love ourselves we are better people, and we treat others with greater respect. OK I most stop now right chanmok...:
