Music Plus on Channel i
Music Plus, a special menu on music, is telecast daily on Channel i. The show features eminent cultural personalities. The programme will highlight an interview with the guest. Fahmida Nabi was the guest in one of the episodes of the show. The daughter of eminent artiste, late Mahmudun Nabi, Fahmida started singing from her very childhood. She was enlisted as a singer of BTV and Bangladesh Betar in 1977. The programme will be hosted by Izaz Khan Swapan.

'Grameenphone Nayone Bangladesh 2021'
Cellphone operator Grameenphone and Channel-i are jointly producing and airing a fortnightly talk-show programme on development issues of Bangladesh. The purpose of airing the talk-show titled 'Grameenphone Nayone Bangladesh 2021', is to provide a platform for development actors to agree on common development targets and relate that to public aspirations regarding how they envisage Bangladesh in 2021when it will celebrate its 50th anniversary. In each episode of the programme, audiences are also being invited to participate in question and answer session, along with selected panelists. Aired on every alternate Friday, three episodes of a total six shows have already been aired, starting the premier show at 8pm on December 8.Based on the discussion in the first episode, agriculture and rural economy, health, environment, private and public partnership, and education were identified as issues for discussion in further episodes. The second episode on Agriculture and Rural Economy and the third one on Health were aired recently.
Through this programme, GP wants to demonstrate its commitment towards development of the nation by creating a platform for development actors to agree on common development targets. After airing all the episodes, the GP will prepare a set of recommendations on different development issues and submit them to the government, development workers and policy makers to help them conduct the development activities accurately.

Dr F R Khan was one of the leading architects of twentieth century. His contributions and innovative approach to designing high rises and attention to aesthetic have been significant. For his contribution to the field he received the highest international awards.
To honour the world-famous engineer, a chair has been set-aside in Dr. F R Khan's name at Lehigh University. Hosted by Farzana Brownia the programme will feature three discussants -- Dr Z R Khan, Professor J R Chowdhury and Engineer F R Khan. The programme will be aired at 6:00pm tonight.

Channel i to air beach walk in Cox's Bazar
Channel i will telecast a three-day beach walk styled 'Activate Bangladesh', scheduled to be held on March 23, live from Cox's Bazar. Eminent cultural personalities and selected people will take part in the 100km long beach walk that will start at Teknaf and end at Cox's Bazar. Channel i will broadcast the programme live three times everyday.
Grameenphone is the title sponsor of the programme while Activate Bangladesh and MAA Consortium are the organisers of the event.

Jononi - Drama serial on Channel i
Jononi is a new drama serial being aired on Channel i. The serial is based on the much acclaimed novel by Shawkat Osman. The central character in the drama serial is Azhar Khan. He is religious and not concerned with worldly issues. He maintains good relationship with the people in his village. Because of his disinterest in the material world, his family endures constant struggle with poverty. However, Daria Bibi, Khan's wife still manages to make do.
The drama is scripted by Mannan Hira and the series is directed by Mithu Biswas. Jononi includes an impressive cast with Ilias Kanchan, Aruna Biswas, Zahid Hasan, Tushar Khan, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Barsha, Mithila and others.

Bhober Haat, a new mega serial by Salahuddin Lavlu began from August 26,last year on Channel i. The play relates the story of two brothers who sever ties for 25 years. However, the brothers' offspring seek a family reunion. The 104- episode serial depicts the colourful lifestyle of rural denizens. Bhober Haat is written by Masum Reza and directed by Salahuddin Lavlu.
Bhober Haat stars Humayun Faridee, ATM Shamsuzzaman, Wahida Mollick Joll, Salauddin Lavlu, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Tania, Diti, Bonna Mirza and others feature in the serial.
The play will be aired every Saturday and Monday at 7:50 pm.
