There is an old saying goes liket that ‘a teacher, one who could propagate the doctrine, impart professional knowledge, and resolve doubts’ (师者,所以传道受业解惑也)。But as the development of society, new era bestows a new definition to teachers, so do university teachers. It seems that they have more responsibilities than other workers. Sometimes we would call them the gardeners . Then as a result of it, they have a great mission to train students. But to some extense, there are a lot of people complain that nowadays university teachers are not as good as those in the past.
One of the major reasons is due to the flexible time of having classes. Teachers in university no longer have to stay the same amount of time as students. They can go home without stress from school government. Once class is over, they will have a lot of spare time to do other things. Therefore , students won’t have much time to community with them. Usually students in university would say they hardly meet their teachers out of class. From the above, we could know that there is little time for both students and teachers to understand each other.
Furtheremore, university study is an emphasis of self-study, so that some teachers pay little attention of students. They concern less and less about students’ school work, since they don’t face the stress of eleven-plus like senior and junior schools. Some of the teachers no longer focus on doing reseach, instead of dressing up themselves.
Neverthless , there are some teachers still work hard to improve the quality of students and themselves. Although we always complaint that Graham gave us too much work to do, in fact, according to a semester study, we have learn a lot of things. We have our blog , do research on magazines, get to know how to be an editor and learn how to write an fair editorial, and so on. In a word, students mustn’t fear doing school work, for the things you do in recent days ,it can always do good to your future, all of the things their teacher is of some right reasons.
Still some teachers use some kind of research to improve their teaching. Maybe the major courses are so boring to teach, however, they try very hard to find all kinds of means to increase vivify atmosphere of class. They try to close to their students, take them as their friends, and try to agree on some point.
No matter what reason it is, teachers play an important role in studying. Their missions not only contain teaching the basis knowledge of books, but also teaching the effective thing in daily life. Their action affect young people’s thinking. So if one person want to be a teacher, he must be careful of doing something, since what they do may change the life of one student.

FONT=century gothic]Travel is in my life. No matter where I go, I can enjoy some of its sceneries. I once want to be a tour guide who can go everywhere without paying the tickets. That is the very way which you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery , but also can earn money. In this way , you will certainly consider it as a way making the best of both worlds. But when time flies, I am busy with other things and couldn’t have enough time to prepare for the exam of tour guide. It is a little pitty of me. Any way I still have the chance in the near future.
The place where I have been that is intersting is Yunnan. It is known to be a most beautiful sight. Yunnan (Beautiful Clouds in the South) Province is the most southwest region of China bordering the countries of Vietnam, Laos, and Burma. Yunnan Province borders Guizhou Province and Guangxi Zhang Autonomous Region to the east, Chongqing and Sichuan to the north, and Tibet Autonomous Region to the northwest. Yunnan encompasses 394,000 square kilometers (152,084 square miles) and has a population of more than 42 million people.
Within these borders, Yunnan has a diverse topography that ranges from alpine mountain ranges to tropical rainforests and the greatest number of plant species in China (more than 18,000) as well as an incredible array of animals, including the Asian elephant and the protected Yunnan golden monkey. There is even a rainforest in the area known as Xishuangbanna where you will find many rare and endangered species of plants and animals.
Yunnan Province is endlessly fascinating. There are 25 different ethnic minorities in Yunnan, making it the most culturally diverse province in China. This multiplicity of cultures has endowed the province with a rich heritage that it shares with all who come to visit. There is always something wonderful to see and do here. Whether you are visiting a Dongba village, the Dai Water Splashing Festival, the Third Month Fair of the Bai Nationality, or the Torch Festival of the Yi people, you will find that Yunnan is a place that celebrates life.
Kunming has many interesting temples and parks such as Daguan Park, Black Dragon Pool, Zheng He Park, Bamboo Temple, Golden Temple, and the Western Hills, to name only a few. Each of these places has unique features that capture the imagination. For example, the Bamboo Temple has 500 life-size luohans that were sculpted in the 1800's. The Western Hills contains three temples: Huating Temple (from the 11th century), Taihua Temple, and the Sanqing Temple. At the top of the path, which takes about two hours to reach, is Longmen (Dragon Gate). Dragon Gate is comprised of sculptures, grottos, and pathways that were built by a Taoist monk in the late 1700's. The view from Dragon Gate overlooking DianChi Lake and the city of Kunming is spectacular. Moreover, you can always be certain of fabulous spring weather in Kunming regardless of the time of year!
At the southern end of Yunnan Province bordering on Laos and Myanmar is Xishuangbanna, a tropical rainforest that is the home of the Dai people. The Dai have many festivals that span across the year. The Water Splashing Festival occurs officially in mid-April but has become such a famous event that it is enacted regularly.
The natural beauty of Yunnan Province defies description. It has mountain ranges and glaciers that are snow-capped all year round, deep virgin forests, lakes and hot springs, alpine landscapes, precipitous valleys, beautiful farmlands, mountain rivers and valley streams, floral splendor that blooms throughout the year, and vast skies with amazing clouds.
I go there with a lot of students who can from different universities. We have 15 days travel which include 8days arrangement tour and 7days individual travel. The route of travel is Stone Forest (Shi Lin)-Kunming- DaLi-Lijiang-XiangGeLiLa-Lijiang.
Since the gratitude of Yunnan province is much higher than Guangdong, we may feel uncomfortable with the climate. Instead of taking air , we choosed to be there by train, in order to gently adapt to the climate. We firstly came to Stone Forest (Shi Lin), located outside of the capital city of Kunming, is one of the world's natural wonders. Here, massive pillars of gray rock have formed a gigantic forest of stone. Some of these natural stone formations have the appearance of animals such as snakes, elephants, birds, and dragons.
Tightly-pressed Tea is one of the famous tea in Yunnan. The black tea or green tea is pressed into brick, cake , or ball shapes. The tea lump is convenient to store and transport and is popular wits minority people in border regions, especiall nomadic. It is said that such tea plays an important role in losing weigh, especially be good for women. What I want to mention is Pu’er tightly-pressed tea, maybe we can call it black tea.
Lijiang is one of the best place that you can’t miss it. In the northwest section of Yunnan, on a plateau amidst the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Mountain), is its most beautiful pearl, the city of Lijiang. Lijiang Old Town, rebuilt because of a devastating earthquake in 1996, is a traveler's oasis. Three small rivers course through Old Town's cobbles-stoned streets that are lined with trees, wonderful restaurants and cafes, shops, residences and a theatre where you can attend a performance of music played on original period instruments that date back to the Han dynasty. Lijiang has been designated by UNESCO as one of the world's major cultural heritages, and is the center of the Lijiang Naxi Ethnic Minority Autonomous County. The Naxi (one of 25 ethnic minorities of Yunnan Province) are the predominate population of Lijiang and its surrounding area. There are also a variety of beautiful parks and temples around Lijiang. They have special clothe is sheepskin amice and old Na xi melody. Due to the different culture , I can’t get used to that music, but I will stand in terms of appreciation. It is said that there is one old man who can play the melody very well. However , I just hear it when I passed the cabin.
I stay there for quite a long time without going any where. Lijiang is a leisurely and comfortable place, which can enable us forget some kind of unhappiness. People there are mostly want to escape urban’s din or other pain from heart. Neverthless, in my opinion, it is not good for young people to stay there too long, since the comfortable can make them lazy and without courage. In other word, it is quite right for old people to rest themselves. You can escape something for a while, but you must face it after taking a break.
Until recent times most of Yunnan was not easily reachable as it was cut off from communication with the outside world by precipitous mountains. Many believe that the Shangri-la referred to in James Milton's Lost Horizons, was here in Yunnan. It now may be the last virgin land where one can observe cultures whose layers go back for thousands of years into the past.
As the development of tourism, the virgin land has been destroyed gently. All of the images seem to be incline to be commercial. That is one thing I can’t bear in my travel. One of my friend once told me that commercial can benefit for local people, because they need money to raise their family, and boost medical treatment. So I always wonder the development of tourism is whether good or bad for protection of culture.
In concludsion, my travel to Yunnan is worth going. At the same time it’s a good way to concern about our motherland’s culture. But I hope people who go and travel can work together to save the eviroment of view. Once the image disappears, we must feel sorry to it. So come on, take action to pretect it.

Dear editor,
It is said that The Internet Society of China, affiliated with the Ministry of Information Industry, is reportedly weighing regulations that would require users to submit their real names and identification card numbers to web operator when opening a blog or posting comments on bulletin boards. And users, however, would be allowed to post under pseudonyms.
What I doubt is that policy-makers how to ensure that people’s rights are not damaged while imposing Internet regulation. Otherwise, regulation would easily be taken as a way to suppress free expression of opinions, a basic right the public enjoys.
As a matter of fact, I don’t support the proposed real-name system, since the vaguely defined rule that may be badly interpreted and abused to encroach upon users’ legitimate rights.
Some one may concern that adopt real-name system to some extent can prevent a certain internet crime and uncivil actions. But I have a question to ask them, do the crime and uncivil action of internet come out just because people have a forum for information and activities ? The answer is surely “NO”. And what we can make sure is that these uncivil action do not appear as the Blog . The slander not only spread by blog or posting comments on bulletin boards.
Next, can the proposed real-name system really solve the problem of internet? Those who want to durn still make slander to their content, and who want to deliever uncil information still do their own way. The government surely can arrest them in about a year . But it seems that the saction won’t work very well. So the proposed seems in vain.
Last but no least, do the internet can make the security of our personal information? That is another question. We don’t expect some day we have to use law process to protect our right , just because today we adopt the real-name system.
I won’t deny many new things are double-edged, due to it is a universely knowledge that every coin has two sides. But after weighing the advantage and disadvantage, we easily discover things may in a way towards the wrong direction. So I don’t think it is good to adopt the real-name system.
Sincerely
Jenny

Should immigrants be free to maintain their cultural and religious practices if they infringe on women's rights?
Introduction
Immigrants' cultural and religious practices and the legal system of some countries clashed recently ,for instance, a Muslim woman who refused to remove her veil in court was thrown out of court by the judge, who wanted her to remove her veil so he could see her face as she testified. When religious belief clashes with legal system, which one should we be inclined to? Respect the religion or obey the law, that is a question.
Although the Muslims of America are indeed on the path to Americanization, what that means and what it will yield remain uncertain. The variety of Muslim experiences in American covered in this volume exemplify some of the major themes in the development of Muslim communities today; the push and pull, tension and conflit, between tradition and change; the reconciliation of religious, political, and social identity; the relations of law to society; the role of religion in cultural identity.
Body
The changes to the American religious landscape that have come with the enactment of the 1965 Immigration Act have caught many people quite by surprise. This new era transformed U.S. immigration policy from one that favored European immigrants to one that welcomed peoples from all over the world. It is no coincidence that this legislation was drafted in the same era that the elimination of discrimination on the basis of race or religion required our immigration policy. Immigrants from China, India, the Middle East , Indonesia, South America, and elsewhere arrive in America to make new lives, and they bring their unique cultural identites and religious beliefs and practices to cities and towns all across America.
The Muslims of America are far from homogeneous in their comrposition and in their attitudes and practices. Islam in America is a mosaic of many ethic, racial, and national groups. The majority are first- or -second-generation innigrants or African-American converts. Their problems, like those of other religious minorities, center on assimilation or integration and the preservation and practice of religious faith in an American society informed bu Judeo-Christian or secular values , the relationship of religious tradition to the demands of current realities, and gaining a place in American politics and culture. The situation is complicated by the historical relationship beteen Islam and Christianity, especially between the West and Muslim societies, which includes everything from memories of the Crusades and European colonialism to what many perceive as the distorted image of Islam projected by Orientalist scholarship and the media, and finally to the hegemony and anti-Islamic policies of the West, in particular the United States.
Solution
In order to avoid the conflicts, the government should declare its law of immigrant to the immigrants in advance. Tell them clearly that if they want to be the immigrants of the country, they should still obey to the law even when the law collides with their cultural and religious customs. If these rules they can accept, they can be the residents of the country. If not, they may have the need to find another country to emigrate. But, respecting the different culture and religions, the Immigrant Act should not too strict for them. For example, the Muslim should have their freedom to wear veil in private and public places, except that their identity should be identified.
Actually, the conflit between religious coustom and US legal system broke out currently due to the change of its Act after 9.11.
A recent survey show that every day there would be nearly two kinds culture are incline to disappear. According to speed , we won't need much time to see the end of culture's vanishing point . So what about the day all the culture die out will we feel? That must be an unimage thing.
To some extent, today government forbid Muslim women to put on veil, which seems like a killer put a sentence to their culture. We are afraid that this culture may be the next dying one. As a result of it, it is high time that we should take some action to protect this religious, but do harm to it.
No man ever books at the world with pristine eyes. He sees it edited by a definite set of customs and institutions and ways of thinking. Even in his philosophical probings he cannot go behind these stereotypes;his very concepts of the true and the false will still hve reference to his particular traditional customs. But there is social problem it is more incumbent upon us to understand than this of the role of culture.Until we are intelligent as to its laws and varieties, the main complicating facts of human life must remain unintelligible.
Conclusion
It is only in the study of man himself that the major social sciences have substituted the study of one local variation, that of Western civilization.
It was necessary first to arrive at that degree of sophistication where we no longer set our own belief over against our neighbour’s superstision. It was necessary to recognize that these institutions which are based on the same premises, let us say the supernatural, must be considered together, our own among the rest.[IMGLEFT=

These are photographies I collect from internet. At first glance they seem not very special from ordinary, but actually things with connotation always needs your heart to discover.
1.
Trepidation glints in the eyes of photographer Andrew Querner's two companions as they keep warm while climbing Lotus Flower Tower in northwest Canada's Cirque of the Unclimbables, a remote region of mountain peaks and walls. This untitled photograph was the Grand Prize winner in the 2006 Banff Mountain Photography Competition.
"In this image, my uncertainty about completing the climb is reflected in the faces of my companions," Querner said in a statement.
"Climbing in a remote alpine setting introduces a great number of variables, weather included, that can conspire to spoil a successful ascent. With alpine climbing, sometimes the only certainty is an overwhelming sense of ambiguity."
Canadian-born Querner and 16 other winners were recently named by the competition's jury at the Banff Mountain Centre, an institution in Alberta, Canada, dedicated to creative expression and environmental preservation.
2.
“This mid-winter image of Crater Lake [in Oregon] was captured during a five-day snowshoe trip around the rim of this ancient volcano … ,” Adamus explained in a statement.
“In the afternoon of my second day I noted a beautiful composition that would be favored by the eastern light of sunrise. After camping not too far away and awaking before dawn in 0°F [-18°C] temperatures, I returned to the rim with tripod and Canon 5D camera. I then rendered this image just before the sun appeared using a graduated neutral filter to control the exposure.”
3.
Best Photo—Mountain Flora and Fauna: “Migrating North-Mountain Bluebird” by Peter Dettling of Canmore, Alberta, Canada
“In [Wyoming's] Grand Teton National Park I spotted a few mountain bluebirds flying low over a field in search of food. I reached for my camera, mounted my biggest lens, and waited,” Dettling said in a statement.
“One of the birds flew for a split second straight toward me as I pressed the shutter. I knew instantly that I had something special, if the image was correctly exposed and sharp. After checking my camera's screen, my mood rose to a state of pure joy and satisfaction.”
4.
Best Photo—Y2Y Region: “Madison River Elk Rut” by Brian Bastinelli of York, Pennsylvania
“Late one afternoon in September 2005 I stopped to photograph a bald eagle perched along the Madison River in Yellowstone National Park,” Bastinelli said in a statement. “As if on cue, the eagle flew away as soon as I was in position. Disappointed, I moved on.
“Roughly a mile down the road I came upon a herd of elk and noticed two bulls posturing along the banks. I first silently thanked the eagle for flying off and then set out to record the amazing battle for dominance unfolding before me.”
5.
Best Photo—Mountain Adventure: “Wyoming Jump” by Bobby Model of Nairobi, Kenya
“Last summer long-time friend Daniel Miller and I were cruising single track south of my hometown of Cody, Wyoming, when we came upon an edge we thought would make an excellent jump,” Model recounted in a statement.
“The next evening we came back to make some photographs. I was about to embark on a photo project with a Holga [an all-plastic camera with one exposure setting, costing about $20 U.S.], so I wanted to practice capturing action with a strobe. When the contact sheets came back I was pleasantly surprised. Currently I'm using a similar system to create a portfolio of images about daily life in Kenya.”
6.
Special Mention: “Rapids” by Kathy Stegman of Arroyo Grands, California
“This image was captured during a photography workshop at the Banff Centre,” Stegman recalled in a statement.
“We were spending the day shooting kayakers running rapids outside Banff. I realized that everyone could get good action photos, and decided that I wanted something a little ... more creative.
“While working with the natural surroundings for different compositions, I zoomed in on one of the kayakers and slowed down my shutter speed to give the photograph a more artistic feel, while still trying to capture the action of the event.”
7.
Best Photo—Mountain Landscape: “Ice to Sky” by Darrell Wilks of Calgary, Alberta, Canada
“The Athabasca Glacier, located in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, is a huge river of ice flowing from the Columbia Icefield,” Wilks explained in a statement.
“On this overcast, but not overly cold, day it took some time to get the picture. My travel companions patiently waited in the truck while I stubbornly waited for the light. The clouds were moving fast, but not fast enough. The sun kept popping in and out of view, teasing me with bits of light on the mountain.”

Recently, uproar in China as some universities add golf course to the curriculum, provoking outrage in a country where golf is still frowned upon as a pastime of the rich. For instance, a Shanghai school , reportedly the first in the country, introduced golf lessons for its students for 4,800 yuan ( US$611) a term.
The Shanghai University of Finance and Economics has added golf to its physical-education curriculum.
The prestigious Peking University had to downsize its ambitions (according to media reports) of a magnificent course on the northeast coast of the Weiming Lake to a driving range and ultimately, to a 90-metre-long excuse for a driving range. In golf, you don't get far with that distance.
But it is Xiamen University that has come up with what, in golfing terms, is a hole in one. Its president promised that students majoring in management, law, economics and software engineering would be required to take a course in golf because "many Chinese business deals are clinched on the course."
According to College officials in Xiamen, a southern coastal city, saying that opening golf courses may help students understand culture and learn networking skills, which may be good for them after they graduate. In constrast, there are some authorities against this course. "Promoting aristocratic sporting activities in universities is a vulgar pursuit of lucre," The Beijing Youth Daily said in an editorial last month.
Personally speaking, I am for the idea of adding course on golf in university, but not for the charge. As we all know, Golf is a useful networking skill which is"fundamental" for business because it helps build connections. For years the golf seems a sport just play by the rich man. They often use golf to deal with business. So on the other hand, if one wants to successed in the trade, he should firstly learn how to play golf. Then , university adds golf course is likely to help make the sport accessible to more people. It is a kind of skill, like driving a car or using a computer. When apply fo a job in company , people always be asked whether have some kinds licences. In accordance with the reason, having a golf course in university gives an opportunity to students.
Apart from that, learning more skills means we can get more chances in choosing jobs. Golf has gone into China inevitably with high investment at the elite end of society. Thus , in the near future , there would be more and more people play it. And the golf industry will have a command of person with golf ability. Consequently, students who have learned how to play it would gain a chance to afford the job. What’s more , it greatly reduces the amount of unemployment of our country. Last but no least, it’s a way to learn another culture.Knowledge is always not enough, and one is never too old to learn.
Acctually, every coin has two sides. A a new lease of life always receives praise as well as abuse. Take the charge for example, it seems a little bit expensive, so that some students maybe not capable of affording it. Yet in order to solve the problem, school and government can work out some solution, such as supporting some compensation to students.

--There is nearly every one in the wold searching for a sound of himself, so is I.
As for me , I prefer pure music rather than rock music. Because after listening to rock music , I can’t cool down my heart very quickly and have a good sleep. For instance, when I was in my junior school, I took part in a party of classmates. Boys in my class was eager for some exciting thing to fullfill themselves, thus, they choosed a club with all kinds rock music. It was obviousely welcomed by most of my classmates, but not me.So far, I still could clearly remember the panic of that day when I used a lot of means to make myself sleep at night, but unfortunetly I failed. As a result of it, I was insomnia that night. What’s worse, I had to get up early to take an exam the next morning. From then on , listening to rock music seems a nightmare for me. If my friends ask me to a club, I will say sorry to them, just because of the panic.
Not until I came to my senior school, my father gave me a Sony CD player. The present was very cherish to me which meaned I can enjoy music more freely. Consequently , I began to collect large number of CD, expecially pure music. It was an accident that I met Bandri CD. These CD cover looked very inimitable among others, mainly use natural scenery , such as image of Alps. In China , there is one old saying goes” The more decration things have, the less meaning they will be”. Luckily things seemed not just that bad. When hearing《 The Silence》 , I was deeply attracted.
That is a feeling which seems making you meditate in a quiet night, giving ear to what the wold is talking about after it transfer for a whole day. Then you may be agree with that the true quietness is not all of silent. Since the quietness of nigth is made up of sound which is accordance with exquisite foan and minuteness chiffon. It goes with the air, without color and taste, but it seems purer than wine, and more fragant than flowers.
Apart from the feeling, I am appeal to the style of the composers. The band comes from Sweden, which composed of a ground of young composers and performancers. Their colonel Oliver Schwarz is accomplished composer, who once cooperated with the composer makes 《Time To Say Goodbye》. This Band are eidolons live in the Sweden moutain forest. They don’t prefer exposaling in public. In order to have inspiration, they choose to stay in the natural place , even sleep in forest. All the efforts they make are aim at performing the most beautiful music to us. This special 《Silence》 comes after 《The Wonderland》. You can not only review some last famous songs, such as《 Elcondor pasa》《The sound of silence》《Chariots of fire》,but also can hear twitter of birds which live in the Alps virgin forest, and sound of ghyll.
No matter happy or sad , Bandri music can be always acompany with me. Acctually they make me know the true quietness is not all of silent.

Shocked by a beautiful scenery originates National Geographic Net, I can’t help to image there is actually such a beautiful place in the world. Maybe some of you will think of me as a madman, but that’s my true feel. `Cause in our urban life, we can hardly see such a beautiful place, not even a small park. And the most things in our sight are the large amount of buildings. Sometimes I am really tired of these things, for as much as in my daily life I just can’t find a quiet place to relax. What I have to face is the dishes all over the city. Thus, when I see the image of this beautiful garden , I couldn’t help to stop myself.
Here are some information about it:
MIDDLETON PLACE is a National Historic Landmark and a carefully preserved 18th-century plantation that has survived revolution, Civil War, and earthquake. It was the home of four important generations of Middletons, beginning with Henry Middleton, President of the First Continental Congress; Arthur, a signer of the Declaration of Independence; Henry, Governor of South Carolina and an American Minister to Russia; and Williams, a signer of the Ordinance of Secession.
Having survived wars, earthquakes, and hurricanes, including Hurricane Hugo in September of 1989, Middleton Place remains a resilient masterpiece of landscape design and a well-preserved plantation that demonstrates two centuries of plantation life.
Every Saturday in November, craftworkers demonstrate the skills practiced by slaves as they prepared the antebellum plantation for harvest time. From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. a different aspect of 18th and 19th-century plantation life will be explored: Domestic Skills, African-American Traditional Arts, Low Country Foodways and the Plantation Natural Environment. Regular admission.
Now , enjoying these beautiful images have become one part of my daily life. I like to collect pictures which I get from internet, especially views of natural features in open country. Any way, what I really concern is that this is another way to enjoy myself.
And I hope one day I can earn enough money to afford a tour there, with my best lover.

Review
Address: Go out of the school gate, along with the road and turn right ,just 100 meters in your left.—Haicheng Restaurant
Review: That’s the restaurant we always have dinner in . Due to the limited of geography, it opens in the second floor of a small building. Without no elegant fitment, no air condition which means we have to bear torridity in summer( Eating and Keep fit). It is a family dealing in restaurant and maily cooks Sichuan food. In order to meet our students taste and consumation, the food is quite cheaper than those big reataurant, althought the amount is limited.
The most attractive food is Beef of cold and dressed with sause. I think it’s the facia food of Haicheng. For this Sichuan food tastes a little bit peppery to me, so I can’t eat too much. Then comes the barbecued pork of Chinese pot with steep wall. There is no special of the barbecued, but the tomatoes inside the pot with soy souce tastes so great.

Compare with the food to the canteen, may be we can conclude it in some words: vivider, more dilicious, cheaper. Since the canteen food menu seems never be changed unless this century passes. Sometimes the cooker will use some flavor we can’t accept it. Not considering what the food be tasted, the staff in canteen just take cooking as a mission of finishing their work.
By the way , I have something to talk to my teacher, I think there is no significant for us to compare canteen food with food outside the gate, as the problem always makes us confusion. The more discussion we have, the more despair we have. Who knows the sadness we have to bear the unsavory food in canteen. What’s more , I want to say , the most delicious food to me is our town food—Hakka food, such as stuffing bean curd. And one of my dream is to give publicity to Hakka food, and let people all know our hometown, in which we can enjoy a beautiful scenery.

By comparison with China Daily produced in mainland, we could find out that they have much similaratives. For example , their formats are largely identifical but with minor differences. If ignore the nameplate , we may hardly discern them. Similar to the subjects they cover, both enclose with national news , National Review, Comment, Science and Culture. On the important questions, SCMP is incline to the mainland, it reports some contents about the mightiness of China , and oppose independence of Taiwan. Besides those , their readers are mostly foreigners working in the native. Indeed, to my extent, the most important reason why I think they have so many similaratives is their temperament of mainstream media, style and characteristic I appreciate. However, it still makes some differences between them.
One of the differences to SCMP and China Daily is the presswork. For twenty years , SCMP all the time pursues high quality printing. It is easy to discover the printing of SCMP is more porcelain. In other words , SCMP is incline to business, which we can get a answer from its ad. On the contrary, China Daily is incline to some kind newspaper which follows the usual rules and regulations . Acorrding to the Internet, we could know that SCMP awarded Quality and Output Award --PANPA2004.
The region of their producers is another major difference to SCMP and China Daily. As we all know, western culuture affects the development of SCMP. After 1997, due to the policy of one country two systems, SCMP can still own its freedom in publishment. As the result of it , SCMP can talk more free in its sections, but not China Daily. Because China Daily looks more like a newspaper of government which should consider more factors of polity. Last but not least, SCMP has more vivid formats. For example,GoingOut which contains four figures: Film, Gigs, Arts, Food. Business which contains Mutual Funds: a cofund which is forms of investment corporation, and commditities, currencies and capital market,HongKong Stock , China stock.
After National Holiday, our teacher brought a copy of SCMP to us. I appreciate Life section more. For it is just the Mid-Autumn Festival, so the section covered more informations about the festival. I could clearly remember the content it introduced Mid-Autumn Festival. From it, I knew the cakes were used to bring about the revolution that established the Ming dynasty. And Andrea Li (maybe is one of the editors) checked out some alfresco dining options for those keen to engage in some serious moon gazing.
In breif, SCMP is a more free media, the way it conveys information is very characteristic. I appreciate its cover and the way it report news.
