El libro PIEL SKIN, es un libro de arquitectura On-Line, publicado bajo licencia Creative Commons. El libro puede ser leído integramete vía web, hacer zoom a textos y fotografías, y además permite visualizar el emplazamiento de cada uno de los proyectos presentados, vìa GoogleMaps.

El material presentado, es resultado de la investigación de la Arquitecto Ethel Baraona Pohl, acerca del tema de la fachada activa de la arquitectura contemporánea, alrededor del mundo.

El texto introductorio precisa: "La arquitectura contemporánea susttituye la idea de fachada por aquella de piel: una capa exterior que media entre el edificio y su entorno. No una elevación neutral, sino una membrana activa, informada; comunicativa y en comunicaciòn"

Bajo esta premisa, el libro agrupa y exhibe numerosos y documentados ejemplos, a lo largo y ancho del mundo, que pueden ser recorridos página a página, o saltando de lugar en lugar, en un viaje interactivo.
