Group 1 elements are also known as alkali metals, they are the most reactive metals in the Periodic Table. The compounds of group 1 metals are all ionic. Structure of these metals is giant metallic structure made of regular arrays of positive metals ions embedded in the sea of delocalized electrons.[/COLOR][/B]
