CONDITIONAL SENTENCE

-kalimat pengandaian

there are 3 types of conditional sentence, they are :

1. conditional sentence type I
---True in the present time/ real conditional sentence
fungsinya: untuk mengungkapkan rencana, nasehat, atau suatu kemungkinan. (to tell plan, advice or possibility)
exm :
- if you don't have breakfast, you'll be hungry.
#Penjabaran:
"if you don't have breakfast" = clause
"you'll be hungry" = expectation clause

- If you go to university, you'll have to prepare everything from now.

- If you have time, will you come to my house?

So, the formula is:
If + Simple Present Tense, + Future tense.

- If she loves you, she will be happy for you.
(Jika dia mencintaimu, dia akan berbahagia untuk-mu)

Note:
-If clause uses simple present atau present continuous.
-Expectation clause use "Will" or "Can" + Verb1.

2. Conditional Sentence Type II
--- Untrue in the present time/ unreal condition sentences in the present.
Fungsinya: Untuk mengungkapkan khayalan/ angan - angan. (to say imagination)
exm:
- What would you do, if you found $100.00 on the street?

- He would buy a new house, if he had much money.
(he doesn't have much money)

- If I knew, I would tell you.
(I don't know)

so the formula is:
If + Simple Past Tense, + Past Future Tense
"OR"
the past future tense + if + simple past tense.

Note:
Jika If clause dinyatakan dengan to be maka gunakan were untuk smua subject (tidak menggunakan was)
exm:
- If I were a boy, I wouldn't do that.
(I am not a boy)
- If I were the moon, you would be the star.
(I am not the moon)

3. Conditional Sentence type III
--- Untrue in the past time/ unreal conditional sentences in the past.
(kalimat yang tidak sesuai dengan kenyataan di masa lampau)
Fungsinya: untuk mengungkapkan penyesalan ttg sesuatu yang telah terlanjur terjadi di masa lalu. (to says regret about something in the past)
exm :
- If she hadn't come late, she would have got the present.
(seandainya saat itu dia tidak datang terlambat, dia akan sudah mendapatkan hadiah)

- If I had met Jamie before I met Jaejoong, I could have married him.
(seandainya saya bertemu dengan Jamie sebelum bertemu dengan Jaejoong, Saya pasti sudah menikah dengan Jamie)

- I could have gone with Jaejoong if i had had enough time yesterday.
(sebenarnya saya dapat pergi bersama dengan Jaejoong jika kemarin saya punya waktu)

So the formula is:
If + the past perfect tense, + the past future perfect tense
"OR"
The past future perfect tense + If + the past perfect tense.

Note:
Expectation clause uses auxiliary "Would have" or "could have" + Verb3

exm:
- If he had gone to concert last night last night, he would have seen marry.
