An American in China

Casper the Friendly Ghost

, , ,

I know that some of my friends are teaching or learning English.
This is a song for Halloween.
One version has the voice part, and one is only the background part, that you can use when you or your kids sing the song. Have fun!

WOW, that's a nice post! it made me remind about my infancy...

When I was a child, my friends from the school, used to call me as little casper (as we say in brazil), just because I'm too white!

In that age, there weren't so many white people here in the city I live, so people used to strange it. Now, it's common see very white people in the streets... many south people came to live here, because of the universities and very good jobs that have here...

Sometimes, I feel myself so white that I can't look to the mirror...loool...

Maybe I still am the casper

By the way,I want to know if 'Carpenters_jambalaya' is a very old English song.

Hi Sunnytoday
Here is the story of the song Jambalaya:

Hank Williams copied the melody of a French Creole song and put his words to it.

Both versions are on the page.

when i was a kid, no taller than a tulip, i loved reading casper comics. then they came out with the cartoon at the movie theatre on saturdays.
casper is a cool example of 'modern' mythology.he was always getting into trouble and then getting out of it by solving some kind of problem... very spiritual.
