China Jon's Syncretic Journal

An American in China

Upon The Windy Crag

,

Eyes will see what they choose to see...

I saw, upon the wind blown crag, the horse of gleaming white,
so magnificent, proud and daring!
I wished for him Pegasus' wings that he might fly with me.
Together we would tour the sky and share a wondrous flight.

Oh! My God! It's a mountain goat,
so small and so uncaring!
How could my dreams have been so tricked, my eyes too blind to see?
Together we will walk this mount, sharing only the freezing night.

DreamingHow Fast Can We Go, Really?
