A little bit about nothing inparticular...

Alberto officially swore in with the Marines on Friday. 
He is now property of the U.S. Government. lol
He usually gets his hair cut short and faded, but figured what is the point since they will just be shaving his head when he gets to bootcamp anyway. He had his friend shave his head. OMG! He look so different. It was shocking when he walked in. LOL He wont be leaving for bootcamp until August at the earliest. He is going to keep Sophia during the day until he leaves so that they will get lots of time together and we will save money on not having daycare expenses. 3 months away at bootcamp is a long time. Even if he can be a big pain sometimes, we are going to miss him.
In other news... work still sucks. Blah. I saw the Board meeting notes and there are going to be more cutbacks and more layoffs. That is never a good thing. I miss my old desk/job. I hate sitting up here at the front desk. I liked being in my own quiet little space. Now in this position all I get is constant interruptions. I can't get anything done.
Alberto has been out of work for 2 months. YIKES! We are really hoping that his first unemployment check will be coming very soon. Money is VERY tight right now, but I think when he gets his check or I get paid we'll go see a movie at the drive-in. It's the only way to see movies with a baby. LOL I don't want to be one of those annoying parents that brings their small screaming infant into a packed movie theater, so the drive-in is perfect. We had a great time last time we went. We saw Ironman and Drillbit Taylor.
It is ant season officially. :| We had an invasion at the house yesterday. I hate ants, they make me feel so itchy. Yuck. It ended up being a good thing though, because it made us find the time to get everything picked up and put away. My room hasn't been this neat in months.
I think Sophia is starting to be ready to sleep in her own space now. She sleeps in our bed now. She is really stretching out and she gets upset if I'm 'in her space.' I'm going to get her playpen cleaned out (it's full of her blankets and toys right now) and set up the bassinet part for her. We need to re-arrange the bedroom so that her playpen will be right next to our bed.
