AMA 2007 - Convention Report

It's been almost a week since my return from AMA 2007.
I just want to make sure to get this down before I forget most of what happened.
Thursday: After a day of frantically running around, Finally boarded my train from Providence to Richmond late that night. Not much happened that train ride, although the 14 hours still was boring.
Friday: At around 10:30am, I arrive safely in Virginia, get a simple taxi to the convention center for staff check-in (which went along flawlessly) Then I tried to check in the hotel........ This is where things started to turn ugly. After the Richmond Marriott screwed up what was supposed to be a simple check-in I finally get into my hotel room..7 hours later. (Word for everyone out there, avoid this hotel at all costs). Finally settled, we start rolling some videotape that evening and wrapped up around 11pm. Crashed and went to sleep.
Saturday: Got up early, have no idea why as my shooting schedule didn't start until 3pm, although I did manage to chat with some of the other conventions while killing time for my next video shoot. Straightened out the paperwork and surveys for the game show the next morning. Filming that evening was a 8 hour bout starting at 3 and finally wrapping up around 11. Didn't make the evening events I wanted to get to due to the need for sleep.
Sunday: Another day of getting up early, and having to wait for the convention center to let me in (even though staff get early access for setup purposes) Got all the equipment as the shooting started with the Anime Trivia Show at 11:00am. The game show started off rough when it appeared that my questions need to be a bit easier (or the players need to brush up on the classics) Finally after determining a winner, we packed up the stuff and headed off more socializing and convention planning for next year. Closing went along fine. That evening, the staff sojourned off to a local eatery for the staff dinner (nice choice this year). Some staff recieved some awards and certificates of appreciation (myself included) for their hard work. Post staff dinner, we returned to the hotel and went to a few parties before crashing in my own room at around 2:30am.
Monday: Woke up late (as to be expected) and finished packing up all my stuff for a checkout of the horrid hotel. Had nothing to do until 5:00pm so assisted in unpacking materials from the truck into storage. Got on the train at 6:00pm for a 13 hour trip back home.
Tuesday: Arrived back home at 9:00am.
