As some of you know, Opera has opened its own official Flickr account. We've been having so much fun on Flickr, that we decided to launch a contest for Opera fans who use the popular photo-sharing site.
As some of you know, Opera has opened its own official Flickr account. We've been having so much fun on Flickr, that we decided to launch a contest for Opera fans who use the popular photo-sharing site.
It's open to any Opera user who uses Flickr, so sign up now!
The theme of this contest:
Opera Mini displays your favorite sites, wherever you are.
Here are the rules:
1. Make sure you have a Flickr account.
2. Load up one of your favorite websites using Opera Mini.
3. Load up the same website using Opera 9.2 for Desktop
4. Take a photograph of both screens next to each other (showing the same website), making sure the site content is at least somewhat readable and safe for work (i.e. kid-friendly).
5. Upload the photo to your Flickr gallery.
6. Join the Opera Browser group on Flickr.
7. Submit your photo to the group.
Prizes:
This contest is not limited to photography experts. We'll be doing a random drawing, so everyone who submits an entry has a chance to win one of three Opera promo packages (tshirts, pins, etc.)
For those exceptional photographers out there, the person who submits the best photo will have Flickr Pro paid for him or her (by Opera) for one year. (If you already have Flickr Pro, we'll extend your subscription for one year)

Even though the theme of the contest is "your favorite sites, wherever you are", we're not asking for pictures of people using Opera Mini on the go. (We'll save that for a future contest, so don't delete those photos if you have any)
Instead, the point of this contest is to help people know that they can view their favorite sites on their phones (hence, 'wherever they are') and not just WAP or other "mobile-optimized" content.
