In terms of our goals, we certainly did what we set out to do: publicize the 1) Opera Web Browser Facebook group, and 2) Choose Opera group here at My Opera.

When we started this contest, the Facebook group boasted about 150 people. (I can't for the life of me find the exact number now! irked ) I can proudly report that over the course of the contest, over 400 people joined the group, bringing us to a grand total of 610 members! party

Pictured to the right is one of our contest winners, Freddy Heitjan, from Pennsylvania. Way to go, Freddy! cheers

CONGRATULATIONS to all those of you who won the contest!

Some of you haven't received your tee-shirts yet, I'll be sending them to you very very soon!

Great job guys!

Congratulations from me, as well. I'm also sending out another batch of shirts soon, so look out for them.

BAMAToNE worked really hard to make this contest happen, so major props to him! I didn't have anything to do with it, but he was also picked as My Opera's member of the week! He really deserves it. Congrats! smile

Congratulations. I just joined Facebook a couple days ago, after the competition ended, unfortunately. It took a friend to convince me to register for Facebook. Anyways, I hope there's more contests. A really cool one would be at Digg, since there's so many Firefox fanboys there.

Opera would have people digg an article. Then, Opera would choose at random several people from the list of people who dugg the article.

Because Opera and the internet are turning into social networks and online communities, it is important for Opera to reach out to sites like Digg, facebook, MySpace, Flickr, and Orkut.

Got my shirt today. bigsmile

Thanks a lot! bigsmile

Alas, I have no digital camera (or any camera at all), so...

It's all well and good except that I'm not sure if I'm going to wear the shirt at all. There is something about a dude wearing a shirt that says "browse me" on it's chest that I find, well, not fitting.

If you know what I mean.

MissPlaced Monday, June 18, 2007 4:58:06 PM

Hey there,

Oops.. didn't know you wouldn't like the 'Browse mes'. If you could just drop me an email (vyomak@opera.com) with your name, address and t-shirt size again, I'll send you a non-browse me wink

Hehe... He was speaking tongue in cheek (I know the guy), but perhaps you two can work something out. p

MikaBeerlake Friday, June 22, 2007 2:01:10 PM

Ah, it's no problem really. I'll probably end up wearing it regardless, I'm a confident manly man afterall. p

Also, hi bambam.
