Software All Saddled Up

A quick recap of how we've been spending our days and nights in the Lone Star state:
Set up day: I would like to make this sound glamorous but the name pretty much says it all. The Opera booth is undeniably one of the most "custom" booths around, and it required every bit of effort one would imagine to make it that way. It mixes traditional Scandinavian style with slick tech to form a savvy (and, admittedly a bit schizophrenic) area that was jam-packed much of the show. Opera's swag (free stuff) topped the list of hot items to receive at the show. Koozies (beverage coolers), t-shirts, buttons, and stickers were snatched up at an alarming rate.
Bowling Contest: Night number one concluded with a team bowling event. Sadly, the Wii're Opera bowling team will not be taking home any accolades for greatness in the sport but we definitely had a good time and showed some true team spirit. We also noticed that if you drink a few beers you feel much better about your lack of bowling skills.
Exhibiting: At the booth during exhibit hours we meet old friends and new as we are kept busy with a constant stream of visitors. People from past SxSW shows come by to see what is new and share feedback on their Opera experiences. We downloaded Opera Mini to a multitude of phones and have a good feeling about our contribution to converting and creating new fans.
Rock Opera Concert: The event last night at Stubbs seemed to please partygoers - of course who doesn't like free booze, good music, and a fashion show featuring Scandinavian company Moods of Norway? The rain that wouldn't go away almost washed us out, but it seems some power above likes Opera because right before show time the rain stopped, clouds parted, and we had a great (albeit a bit muddy) show.
I am a firm believer that a picture is worth a thousand words, so please enjoy a few of my favorites from the show!
