Opera Mobile Reviews

,

There has been a lot of talk about the upcoming Opera Mobile 10. With the release today of the Windows Mobile version we noticed a few reviews already. Let's have a look at some of the feedback!

Mashable: "The new version brings a better, finger-friendly keyboard, tabbed browsing, a redesigned speed dial, faster operation, and of course, support for Opera’s Turbo mode which speeds up browsing.."

TechCrunch: ".. that means users can benefit from a more enjoyable browsing experience from their handsets than is usually the case with built-in and other third-party web browsing tools."

cnet.uk: "Version 10 beta improves Opera Mobile's user interface with a sharp, modern look and an early Christmas stocking full of new features."

DownloadSquad: "The UI overhaul brings Opera's offering across all of it's platforms in line, as well as providing a great range of features from the desktop platform including Speed Dial, tabbed browsing, a password manager and Opera's server side compression technology, 'Opera Turbo'."

Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner
CEO / Opera Software

RE: This is a little off point. I am spreading MacOpera gooodness.

Thanks for the video Jon. I did not know market saturation remains that low.

I am really excited now that my system (an iMac with a G4 server) is configured with Opera 10.10. My machine web performance is the best since I purchased it in January of 2008. Before this morning it would get shut down, from time-to-time, connecting with the neighborhood wireless [except when uploading client files through FileZilla to FTP web-hosting line-of-sight microwave connection; then it will lock in just fine and hold, but only until the files are finished loading]. Then it was back to reconfiguring. Maybe it would help if I would purchase the monthly membership.

I am happy to report that since I clicked the Opera Mac OS Extended Unix Executable file, Opera took over, and automatically loaded my Terminal with the SSL connection. Then the program came up, with all green lights as soon as I activated them – Opera Link, Operaunite, and Opera Turbo. It has not hiccuped since. Could it be I now have the perfect iMac Made by Apple Computers in California, and the perfect Opera Software made globally, to complete the perfect computing scenario? Congratulations Jon, to you, the Opera team, et all.

Opera App Version 10.10 performance is down cold. Then – look from whence you came.

Sincerely,

Joel
