Opera Mini 5 and Opera Mobile 10 beta 2

Today, Opera released a new beta for both Opera Mini 5 and Opera Mobile 10 today. In addition to features introduced in the first betas, they now include even more features for your phones!

In this release, you still have all your favorite features like Speed Dial, tabbed browsing, compression and the new sleek design. Opera Link is also fully included in both browsers, ensuring that you never miss out on your bookmarks, Speed Dial and favorite search engines! There is also a brand new download manager that gives you better control of downloads on your mobile phone.

We got fantastic feedback from the first round of beta releases and these new versions are sure to turn heads again.

It runs the latest stable of Opera Mini - but that's gash on a touch screen phone like the Android. The new betas are gagging to be toyed with using my fingers.

so the mini beta doesn't work on your android but just the stable one does? or are you waiting for a mobile version?

I second that, need New opera for Hero.

You can't just download and install the app through the browser - or at least, if that is possible, I haven't looked into how to do this on an Android phone. The Apps are managed in an iPhone-esque way and download and installed through the Market.

Opera Mini is available to download in the Android Market, but not the beta.

It's cool, but what about 128x160? On my Nokia 3500 I can't see and do anything!

sailo1 Thursday, December 10, 2009 1:02:45 PM

My Opera Link not working. I synchronised the PC bookmarks and went to Opera Mini 5beta2 on SE Aino - speed dial works but the bookmarks are not there.

There's nearly 200 entries in my bookmarks, would it make a difference?

Thanks

Is it possible to use Opera notes on mobile units, and sync it with desktop opera?

GUGOpera Monday, February 15, 2010 8:49:44 PM

As mentioned earlier: in mobile beta 2, the bookmarks didn't worked. Now in beta 3: it works fine. But it lost the sense of orientation. I use a HTC diamond2. The bundled opera work fine, but lacks the link feature. And the magnification bar is just great. But I get better page rendering whit the bundled explorer. The 10 mobile will be a good software, but it needs to be improved. I hope it will be as good as the desktop ones, what I'm using since 8 something on multiple computers whit different OS on them, and I'm pleased whit the quality of it. The mac version is not as stable as the win version. But that information should be posted in a different topic.
I wold be happy to share my experiences whit the opera softwares I use.
GUGO
