From all of us, to all of you!

We already told you that Jul comes early. After an exciting and intense weekend we are ready to give you your long-awaited present! Say hello to Opera 10.5 pre-alpha.
This first glimpse of Opera 10.5 features a multitude of new cool toys. The engine is Presto 2.5 with tons of awesome performance enhancements and support for even more Web standards. Find some new CSS3 and HTML5, and give it a spin!
With a new and improved Presto 2.5 comes the first look at our brand-new JavaScript engine: Carakan! Carakan is accompanied by his friend Vega, who brings graphic acceleration to both the user interface and to Web pages.
You wanted more privacy, and guess what? It's here! We bring you a first look at Opera's implementation of private browsing! Turn it on for a single tab, and never leave a trace!
In general you will also notice that the entire UI has a new and shiny look to it. The address bar and the Web search box both have some cool new features and look awesome! Speaking of awesome looks, be sure to test it out on a Windows 7 computer now that Opera supports Aero glass, Aero peek and jumplists! For Mac, the Cocoa migration features tons of "Macifications" such as touchpad gestures and a unified toolbar!
Get your gift!
Head on over to Opera Labs or the desktop team to get your Opera 10.5 pre-alpha, but remember: This is a experimental build and might not be as stable as other releases!
For more information, head over to Opera Labs, read more about Carakan or the new possibilities with Opera 10.5 pre-alpha!
From all of us at Opera,
we wish you a happy holiday
and a great new year.
[There is currently no Linux build available. Opera Unite is also disabled for this release, as is the new Opera Widgets implementation from 10.2 alpha.]

There is only one issue on Mac with multitouch gestures: the zoom feature is implemented in the wrong direction: you have to spead your fingers to zoom out. But in all other programs you spread your fingers to zoom in

Now yes. got better and efficient. I loved the menu button and the new system of selecting search and other news.

This is a project for a school. This site was very slow in Opera 10.10, but this new Opera, it runs very quiet as in Google Chrome (until now the only one who managed to run it).
