By Aleksander AasAleksander. Thursday, July 1, 2010 6:00:57 AM
Today we released Opera 10.60 for all platforms. Opera is free and available from http://www.opera.com/browser/.
New Features
Opera 10.60 is the fastest browser we have ever made. With millions of users expecting Opera to deliver the future, we now support search suggestions, Geolocation, WebM and new HTML5 elements such as Web workers in addition to added security and stability fixes.
Geolocation
Geolocation is the next generation in browsing. With Geolocation you can let sites detect your location and do cool stuff. To try it our check out our Live map, to find out where people are downloading Opera!
WebM
The WebM format consists of VP8 video and Vorbis audio. In simpler terms, it's the future of video Online! To try it out either go to the demo of Elephants Dream by the Orange Open Movie project or you can go to http://www.youtube.com/html5/ and enable use of the <video> tag!
Download
Opera is free as always and available for all platforms in 42 languages from http://www.opera.com/browser/. After downloading we would love to get your feedback on the browser and see you play with the Live map.

Can you please also make the green picture with the bird (as seen on opera.com) make available as a wallpaper? 1920x1200 would be really nice. Thanks a lot in advance!

I have one question: how the hell have you managed to get such an awful audio in browser presentation (introduction.ogv)? Vorbis @192kbps should be perfect for this cause, but your sound quality is much worse than that. Please reencode and remux the audio stream or people will consider it the real quality of open formats.

I'd like to know WHY Opera can't display some sites the right way. I know that they probably have some html/xhtml/css etc. errors in their code but I've never had any problems with Internet Explorer 7(!), 8 or Fiferox 3 (and newer versions). I'd like Opera to be my only browser but it constantly lets me down and shows me that I still can't get rid of Firefox.

My guess - mostly - because it's on the author's not noticing Opera as a browser. An idiot author. A browser loved by millions.

All info that'll be expressed are based on mine only. . . .
SORRY TO SAY THIS TO FX FANS.
I just hated how FX is, the lamest browser i've seen
hopefully mozilla almost gains some trust of mine on fx 4.0 but not that much.

Opera seems to be not loving Gmail. This email client doesn't fit into a window and I have to set "Fit to width"
ANNOYING ....
I think, Opera is just step away from being a default browser. It needs to check memory consumption and also have to check compatibility with top visited websites.
Thanks for good software (Must say, despite being a proprietary software, tweaking with .ini files is damn easy).
