I got some info on why official Twitter widgets disappeared, but I thought that was going to be fixed.

Twippera is also really nice. But the german translation is really terrible (Neureste | ... | Favorten) and no button for retweet

It's fast, but without this option, that sucks.

Edited:
Now it's working.
I must right click, choose Developer Tools - Reload in order to make this widget working.

I tried it on Opera 10.60 for Ubuntu 10.4. UI opens, widget tries to load, but nothing happens after all. Reload does not help. And like said previously, on Windows XP I can't even get the widget installed.

The article isn't very good, anyway. It starts with the statement that for browsing and twittering one needs two programs (browser and twitter client). That is not true since twitter provides a web interface, which can be accessed with a browser.
The second paragraph is actually a tutorial on how to use twippera. It is quiet unnecessary; its shortness underlines the easyness of the widget. Altogether, the paragraph appears to be just a stretching element for the article.
