On July 25, 2010 Opera Mini joined the exclusive one billion pages served per day club. This means over 11,500 pages where compressed each second. The growth of Opera Mini according to the State of the Mobile Web reports shows an increase of over 160% since June 2010.
Jon von Tetzchner, the co-founder of Opera said that this proves people want the best experience possible. Proving that Opera delivers on the vision of creating the best Internet experience on any device.
With the addition of Opera Mini 5.1 for both mid-end devices and Android, we expect this number to rise in the months to come. The average number of pages served the same period was an amazing 910 million pages.
