Get the weather in your Speed Dial
By Aleksander AasAleksander. Friday, August 20, 2010 2:42:30 PM

We all love the Speed Dial. There are lots of ways you can customize your Speed Dial. Let's add a weather report!
We first saw this trick over at search giant Yandex, and now BS-Harou has created an awesome solution for the rest of us.
All you need to do is take a look at the URL below. See where it says "area=Oslo"? Change Oslo to your city. You can also change the redirect location to any site by replacing "http://my.opera.com/" with your favorite URL.
Remember to right-click and select reload every 180 minutes!
http://speeddial.operacesky.net/weather.php?lang=en&area=Oslo&top=100&redirect=http://my.opera.com/
Thanks again for sharing BS-Harou!
Update
The first update is here. It now works again, and has a new feature for Fahrenheit and Celsius. For more updates subscribe to BS-Harou's blog!
- My new source has only day temperature.
- There is new parameter: °=F for °F

I think that the bigger wins. Anyway it takes the data from google, so if google has some solution for this ti should work here too.

Now, why does it give the temperature in farenheit in my speeddial, although my region (region sounds small, but it's actually europe) uses celsius.Martin KadlecBS-Harou # Friday, August 20, 2010 7:18:18 PM
EDIT: I changed default language to en-gb, sou you should have there Celsius again.
