The version with icons looks a very nice alternative up The version I got has just text in tabs. Moreover, I miss 'profile' view from original Twitter. It's sometimes nice to check what are the latest own tweets.

Looks good. The last twitter widget I tried sucked.

Click sign in, widget will Open twitter.com for authorization, allow Opera Twiget and then Twitter will give you pin.

It doesn't work. If i click sign in it says that there are some preoblems with the pin. I can't see any Twitter authorization window

It opens automatically in a new window in your web browser. Check your default web browser for the pin number.

Fabio Lambertinifrem82 Tuesday, September 7, 2010 10:56:41 AM

My default is opera, of course. I've enabled pop-up, but nothing change...

In the error console: JavaScript - widget://wuid-049cccc2-fc36-0e03-02d8-28eefc36b8e6/libs/jquery.cookie.js Linked Script not loaded

Espen André ØverdahlEspenAO Tuesday, September 7, 2010 11:24:24 AM

We'll investigate and see why this is not working for you.

Sami Serolaserola Tuesday, September 7, 2010 11:27:06 AM

@ Fabio - I got it work after clicking the 'continue' (or what ever was said on that screen) again and again. Finally it got through.

FavDjiXas Tuesday, September 7, 2010 11:28:11 AM

If I set it to 120%, menu messes up + I can change only one attribute and not both: width and height.

lowik Tuesday, September 7, 2010 11:31:17 AM

@Fabio which OS are you using? There is a bug in the browser on some platforms that openURL which should open twitter in your default browser doesn't work.

Juan Sebastián Marulanda Pulidojuanchito2006 Tuesday, September 7, 2010 11:44:12 AM

I'm on Ubuntu Lucid (10.04) and when I click the Sign In button, no new page is opened, so I can't get the PIN :/

How do you update the widget? I noticed it was updated 4 days ago

lowik Tuesday, September 7, 2010 12:21:01 PM

We know about some issues with opening external links on Linux. We will fix it asap.

Aleksander AasAleksander Tuesday, September 7, 2010 1:45:06 PM

Hmm, I'm not sure what my favorite feature is, twitpic preview or automatic URL shortening. Decisions decisions..

Same here! I'm on Linux Mint 9 (derivated from lucid). I hope you could fix this.

Yeni Setiawansandalian Tuesday, September 7, 2010 1:57:49 PM

A lot of improvements up
One important thing is: I think Twitget needs a new icon, the sweet one.

zombie Tuesday, September 7, 2010 3:47:57 PM

Same problem with Debian Sid. No page opening when clicking Sign In.

karlosrocks Tuesday, September 7, 2010 4:27:00 PM

Maybe it's a linux problem, because I'm on windows and it works all ok.

Pedro Serrapedroserra Tuesday, September 7, 2010 5:13:04 PM

Same problem here. Ubuntu 10.04

Mekkinz Tuesday, September 7, 2010 5:37:47 PM

I got round the problem (Ubuntu Lucid) by changing my preferred Browser (System > Preferences > Preferred Applications) to Chrome for a couple of minutes.

Upon closing Twiget and starting it again, Chrome opened up with the Twitter OAuth thingy with a PIN.

Seji Tuesday, September 7, 2010 6:14:06 PM

Version 4.3 - bit.ly link shortening is not shortening anything.

I found a solution for this problem.
On Ubuntu in system>preferences>favorite application

I wrote

opera --pd .opera

As default web browser.
Found this solution watching error message while launching a widget from a terminal, it couldn't find the personnal directory.

batspeed Wednesday, September 8, 2010 3:22:58 PM

NB: this also solve the problem for the pin number not showing while launching the widget for the first time

SAMUEL SENTSHOmoanakwena Wednesday, September 8, 2010 4:42:09 PM

I am sorry this is phone does
not support

Fabio Lambertinifrem82 Thursday, September 9, 2010 7:31:47 AM

@batspeed: thanks! this works fine for me.
