Thank you for posting this smile I have almost completely gave up on widgets because it has been damn difficult to find which of them actually works. I suppose these ones are tested and proved to work on most of the cases. however I wonder how widgets like Unite Media Player works through company fire wall... I guess I just need to try find out bigsmile

All the talk of Widgets by Opera frustrates me greatly.
I submitted OperaToPhone over two weeks ago and am still awaiting its approval! either approve it or give a decent reason why not. this approval process is getting very Jobsian

Often this widget doesn't work correctly with new Opera versions, but I also found it as a most useful! It must be at the top place in this list. up

@Patrick, we have been unable to test the widget with an Android phone as your widget requires. A moderator will either approve, or get back to you with updates as soon as the widget is fully tested.

Well the longer you make a list, the more things you include. 25 items isn't overwhelming, and plenty of people don't even know what a screen ruler is.

It works fine during our tests.

If you still have a problem using it, then re-install the widget, and hit F5 (or right-click and refresh) to reload the widget.

Since I run all my programs maximised (full screen), I never see my desktop, so widgets are useless to me. If there was a button or menu item on Opera to access them I might try some.

Cutting Spoonhellspork Thursday, September 16, 2010 11:22:29 PM

Try hitting F4 in full-screen mode. The Widget panel is available like all the others.

SC.sagar Friday, October 1, 2010 8:51:31 AM

@Ali, widgets are stored as applications in your start menu (if you use Windows). You also place their icons on your desktop to use them.

Ali RazaAli8307 Friday, October 1, 2010 8:54:57 AM

Thanks up They are here bigsmile bigsmile up up

Cutting Spoonhellspork Saturday, October 2, 2010 7:04:26 PM

On Windows, you can copy a link and paste it in your startup folder. After that, your widget will start immediately when you log into your PC.

You need a widget from WOT or Web Security Guard. Those are great tools for a safe surfing.
