Welcome to My Opera Mail beta
By Espen André ØverdahlEspenAO. Thursday, April 7, 2011 11:35:42 AM
From today, all My Opera accounts also have an @myopera.com e-mail address. You can try out our new mail service at https://mail.opera.com. Log in with the same user name and password you use for My Opera, Opera Link or Opera Unite.
Our goal is to make a fast and friendly mail service that is efficient and easy to use on any device, whether you prefer to access your e-mail from Opera Mini on a mobile phone, a tablet with touch interface or a desktop computer.
You can also access My Opera Mail from the messages icon on My Opera.
This is the first public release (beta) of the service. You can expect features to be refined and new ones to be added both during and after the beta period. Make sure you follow the My Opera Mail team blog for more updates.
My Opera Mail has been in closed beta for a few weeks already. Tamil posted an entire collection of screen shots. The best way to try it is to simply head over to https://mail.opera.com and try it for yourself!

Could specify the 「中文」(Chinese)→「簡體中文」(Simplified Chinese)
and would Opera Mail support Traditional Chinese future?

The only problem I see that keeps me from switching (now or later), is that I would have to create a new account to have my-full-name@myopera.com

I have been waiting along time for a good IMAP Mail service thats not from Google. But I find it important to have an official mail alias thats not pinkbunny88@whatever. I can't send a job application from a MDDLMN account.
And why no dots or dashes in the accountname?

But it's failing to load properly if translate extension is installed.
Disabled the extension and it loaded properly.

Is using pop3 to fetch email from my opera account enough grounds for my account to stay active? Plus what is the storage limit for the account?
Thu Winwikipedian # Friday, April 8, 2011 8:36:51 AM
Also how about compatibility? Will it work with older browser (might I say ie6 or ie7 found on most library pcs) for example when I'm on the go.

Try it out and report problems back to us if you find any, we want to have a wide coverage. IE6/7 get a simpler interface than the rest.
