SaveIE6.com: Best viewed in Opera

,

Here's a campaign out of the ordinary: What started out as an April Fool's Joke quickly turned into The SaveIE6 campaign. It's all about showing the world the benefits of using the web browser IE6. Due to the tremendous interest, the campaign is still alive and kicking.

Save IE6SaveIE6.com: Best viewed in Opera.

We thoroughly enjoyed reading through petition buzz, including CEOs, marketing managers and "superfans". Which is your favorite? Make one of your own?

Kudos Furie for making us aware of this campaign!

You have been mislead by a vocal minority and are using opera, which is clearly an inferior web browser to IE6. Please switch to IE6 and sign our petition.

Just see the jokes written on this page bigsmile

http://saveie6.com/why.php

"Proven technology. It’s been around since 2001."
Just the opposite is the truth.

"NO bugs."
WOW! What a nice joke?

"Highly secure (has received lots of security updates)."
The world's most insecure browser is now highly secure, ha ha.

"Used by 97.34% of all internet users according to a onestat survey released July 28, 2003."
Isn't it 2011 now? Anyone knows? lol

IE6 is the only website browser that should be around. I don't know what all this buzz is about that Firefork website viewer thing, or that Oprah browser. I knew she did a talk show and all but web browsers? Get off my interwebs!

ad this...

Well it's obvious surely. IE6 is clearly a step ahead. I miss typewriters too.

Check the download link.

I got the output:

Unfortunately some of your answers were incompatible with proper IE6 usage which means that we weren’t able to provide you with a download link.

Please try again, it will be worth it!

Face it -- these days, IE6 is at most a piece of museum, to show new generations how rudimentary were browsers and the Internet in the past. Web browsers are now much more secure, fullfeatured, customizable, ergonomic, and why not, entertaining than IE 6-9. And faster, of course.
