We just got a pretty scary report from Chasapple on Twitter regarding a Opera Mini malware being spread around Russia. This is a good time to remind you to always stay safe when downloading files Online. You should always either use m.opera.com or a safe download site like GetJar or Handster!

If you are curious, Trendlabs Malware Blog posted this picture of the fake site. Stay safe kids!

i prefer official web site to download official apps. hate mod apps bcoj i had a very bad experience while trying to log in fb with a mod bolt browser. i think downloading opera mini from m.opera.com is the most safe option.

I download directly from mini.opera.com and everyday am checking to see if there's any upgrade for my 6300

I don't support handler mods or whatever them call it.

I'm suprised to see that Getjar is safer than Opera Store lol

For a long time I have been a GetJar afficionado but of late, I have decided to steer clear of it due to its frequent tendency to claim to provide an app but when you download it, it's not the app you wanted.
I would stick to m.opera.com if i were you.

Me parece muy bién que se advierta a los usuarios de Opera Mini de no descargar el navegador de sitios que no son seguros, que por cierto, son muchos. En mi cuenta de Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/Dariofan , al utilizar la etiqueta #OperaMini , siempre recomiendo la descarga del browser desde http://m.opera.com/ y si realizan la elección con Certificado de Firma, es mucho mejor.
