Please change to the new iFrame based YouTube embed code, otherwise Opera Mobile users without flash can't see it.
It's a little ironic that I need to point that out given that's YouTube's HTML5 based embed code and this is an article about HTML5 smile

Please change to
the new iFrame
based YouTube
embed code,
otherwise Opera
Mobile users
without flash can't
see it.
It's a little ironic
that I need to
point that out
given that's

yes. Please change it to iframe system . Please.

More than a little ironic if you ask me. My Opera doesn't support iFrames for security reasons. I'll poke the devs about this issue though!

Thu Winwikipedian Friday, November 4, 2011 10:33:49 AM

If you look at my blog, I give the link to the YouTube video at the bottom of the page in case the video does not show up

Hi there! We are currently working on getting embeds through iframe to work on My Opera in a safe way. I cannot provide you with any ETA for this right now, but we have people working on it and when it's ready it will be announced!

Ayesh IceMYLANKA Friday, November 4, 2011 12:23:18 PM

RJ u open my eyes. Rock on HTML5 left

Patrick O'Reillypaddy2k Friday, November 4, 2011 12:52:16 PM

Aleksander, Robert: Thanks for the update

Thu Winwikipedian Friday, November 4, 2011 1:19:54 PM

Can you get OperaMini to support html5? The Bolt browser support embeded video viewing but it is too small. I'm sure the Opera guys can do better.

Ayesh IceMYLANKA Friday, November 4, 2011 2:04:58 PM

thu win i think opera mini 6.5
j2me warking embed youtube on my opera. Its not worked on 6.1 .

But i think its must develep more.

Thu Winwikipedian Friday, November 4, 2011 3:23:41 PM

Ayeshamanta, can you improve your spelling.

Embedded YouTube videos does not show in Opera Mini 6.5 (display as a white blank where the videos are), so I tend to leave a link at the bottom that link to the video on YouTube so the visitor can view it there.

Ayesh IceMYLANKA Friday, November 4, 2011 3:45:33 PM

its my talking style wikipedia.

No buddy its warking on sony ericsson j2me s .
There is a link yes. But its not sending to youtube. Its drectly emdedling.

Open The Web

Thu Winwikipedian Friday, November 4, 2011 4:16:24 PM

@Aye, can you visit my blog with OperaMini 6.5 and tell me if you can view the embedded videos? I mean I added a URL to the video at the bottom of the embeded video, so users can manually visit the YouTube video page themselves.

Thu Winwikipedian Friday, November 4, 2011 5:59:02 PM

@Aye, I think the embedding for blogs is done differently than what is done in ChooseOpera. I too can see the YouTube video in this post but not personal blogs.

MyOpera currently doesn't support regular old HTML4 for security reasons. BBcode either. This only applies to profile pages, but is already causing people to link offsite to their profiles elsewhere due to the measures taken to stop spamming.

(Some) HTML and BBcode were reapplied to the profile pages due to popular demand. They should now support the same styling as blog posts do!

Thu Winwikipedian Saturday, November 5, 2011 9:29:03 PM

I tend to style my blog posts using html as it looks better in RSS. Hope you don't remove html for blogs as if you do, my blog will look a huge mess.
