The Opera extensions catalog is growing every day. Right now, we have soon 1,000 extensions submitted and available for download. yes What are your favorite Opera extensions so far and why? Here are some of my favorites. Please share your favorite extensions as a comment!

Gmail on your Speed Dial: This extensions shows a preview of your unread mails on Gmail in Opera's Speed Dial. If you are logged in, it will show you a preview of your unread mails. If you have zero unread mails, then it will just show a Gmail icon in color.

I really liked and enjoyed the Opera-to-Phone extension. Sadly Opera's extension API is not mature enough to port all the functionality from the Chrome/Firefox-to-phone extensions. I'd like to see much more movement on that front.

Ghostery, a random calendar (almost every), snap links (i used userjs for it) and with some configuration the imgtip. Wot could be good too, but it somehow makes slower my pc. The extension's API is the same level as the chrome but it's allright. Less security risk.

Weather in Speed Dial is awesome. I also use Facebook extension to see how many comments/message I have, and also Meme Smiley.

For the last extension, it made my day up

Reddited (checks if a link has comments, which tends to have great further reading/watching/listening)

Reddit Enhancement Suite (its not in extension catalog, they won't submit it? crammed full of really useful enhancements)

I like Notes, Sessions, Downloads, Tab Stack options and many others. They are integrated so they work fine.

I DO NOT like extensions but I have to use them:
- Facebook blocker (essential in the world of kinky social circles)
- FastestTube - YouTube Video Downloader
- MakeLinks (it turns text web addresses into clickable links, why does it exist as an extension yet?)!!!
- Opera AdBlock (it should be integrated eon years ago)
- Opera Internal Pages (it should be integrated eon years ago)

Do not play the Microsoft tricks - "we give independent programmers a tool to earn their money".

Extensions are always bad in the world which is so complex as IT world. One could even say that extensions are sort of functionality patches. It bodes ill to stability.

As an example of the least useful extension, of course. wink

Equally important information would be:
- the weather in that "point",
- number of frogs in the area and
- what color of socks is most popular in 1 km radius.

The number of topics related to the selected hyperlink should be increased on demand or automatically, according to measured stupidity of the user who asked for the information.

I use cleanPages, which makes some sites so much more readable and also gathers split articles into a single page.

I also use Ghostery, because "in Soviet Russia, web reads you!" and I am not in Soviet Russia bigsmile .
