Opera Wins Another Speed Test

According to some estimates, Windows XP still powers up to one-third of the world's PCs, with an estimated 100 million users. That's an important part of the reason why the gadget review site Tom's Hardware used XP as the basis for a special edition of their Web Browser Grand Prix. The result?
Opera proves the be the best choice for XP users.
This was an overall result, based on Opera's performance in a number of different performance categories, from basic tasks like startup time to code rendering. Internally, winning Tom's Hardware test comes as a surprise:"I had no idea we could win a hardware contest - we're a software company! But what we make is pretty hard too."
