Opera about to get hacked in Russia?
By Espen André ØverdahlEspenAO. Thursday, May 24, 2012 4:20:00 PM
Positive Hack Days is an event taking place in Moscow, Russia. It is an event which brings together the elite of hackers in the world, thought leaders in the information security industry and representatives of the Internet community.
One part of Positive Hack Days is called Hack2own and Opera will be attempted to be hacked! This is a competition where hackers are allowed to demonstrate their skills in security analysis and hacking mobile devices (e. g. Apple iOS, Android), popular Internet browsers, and operating systems (skills in exploiting kernel vulnerabilities in current OS versions).
Will the hackers be successful in their attempt try to hack Opera? We'll be back with a coverage report later on how it went. Hopefully nothing happened.

good sites disappear due to copyright blah blah blah, rumor that Opera could belong to facebook, and Unite going the way of the dodo... surely a very bad quarter

Facebook: Just wait a few months, then Opera can afford to buy Facebook

Think about what happened to Netscape after it was bought by AOL, it died and the buyers did not care at all!

If it is indeed true, then we may as well kiss bye-bye to the desktop browser and prepare for all that compressed data from phones to be re-routed to FB servers for "better personalized advertising served to you right on your phone"...
