Visually stunning themes

, , , , , , , , , , ,

So much has changed on the Web over the years, we all expect that. But the changes always happen below your tabs.... A major part of why Opera is my browser are the options I have to customize, and really make it my own. Your style changes over time, your clothes change, you cut or dye your hair, people like to express themselves. If you're like me, then you've dug into the Themes for Opera 12 in addons.opera.com - but if you haven't, I want to share 5 themes that will change the way you look at the Web, and your browser, forever:

Monster

Dark Wood

Minecraft

Rainbow

Planet earth - inversed

Share some of you favorite themes below, and help others to find their style, or share your own.

I wish Opera Minis have themes also like 5.1 and 6 and 7 which you cannot set their themes...

Why MAC ? Where is the Linux ? smile)))

It's not theme. It's background and i can't see too much from it, since the speed dial hide almost everything plus i don't care about the tabs' pattern.

This is a theme, not just a flashy picture.

I'm using XP and any theme is giving me some silly looking Vista/7-like caption buttons that seem way out of place.

How do you have transparency in the address bar ? It's only solid for me

How do you achieve the integrated tab bar/window controls in osx like in the picture?

Muhammad Shahmi Bin Said @ SaidiTechnosparks Thursday, June 21, 2012 10:20:06 AM

Please answer my poll at my blog guys smile I would appreciate it bigsmile http://my.opera.com/Technosparks/blog/

Those images are not accurate representations of themes worried The address bar and focused tab is not transparent like that, it just gets tinted. Additionally on Macs the tabs don't go up into the title bar like that (on the same level as the window caption buttons).

Hi,

Why Opera's chrome isn't translucent for real when using these themes? Any way to fix that?

theme system is great ! but ..

it seems to me that opera doesn't support out of almost ten themes.!
i have 29 themes downloaded and installed but opera shows me just 10 themes.

How can i have all my themes usable ?

Many of us have been waiting a very long time for Opera themes. I did not care for any of the skins. Opera Black is the right theme for me.

That made me sad. Firefox fursonas were a bad idea launched as an "IE skin" remake in response to their theme engine breaking all the time. Opera launches its own Theme engine which is mostly aping Personas.

Easy to make, easy to use, NOT particularly useful. I far prefer classics built as Skins, such as Chocolate or the discontinued(?) Opera-tan. Those packs effected far reaching improvements to attention state of tabs, discernment of icons, and viability of certain UI elements.

So long as proper Skins are still installable I'll be fine, but Themes are a nightmarish non-replacment.
