Fixing Twitter Issues in Opera

We've been hearing that a lot of people are having problems using Twitter from Opera. If you are having trouble sending tweets, replying, retweeting, or seeing what is trending - good news! We have a fix for you. Here is what you need to do to get things going again.

From the main menu, go to Help › Check for Updates. Click OK when seeing the message "You are using the latest version of Opera". This will download an updated browser JS file, with the necessary fixes.

Next, reload Twitter. If this does not solve the problem, you may have to restart Opera too.

To check whether you have the most up-to-date version which contains this fix, go to: http://www.opera.com/docs/browserjs/. The message there should say "Opera Desktop 12.00 core 2.10.289, July 17, 2012. Active patches: 218".

Aha. And now the problem I've been ignoring comes back to bite me. I don't have an "update" menu item anywhere, because I had a version from the Mac AppStore installed. I then removed it (because of the delays in updates) and installed a "vanilla" version downloaded from opera.com, but it still says MacAppStore in the user agent, and the "Update" menu item is nowhere to be found.

I dont know about MAC problems . But i do have problems with twitter on my mobile Nokia E66
Not only twitter but also the opera speed dosnt good . It takes many times to load any page however it is small or big .
I hope you resolve this problems as soon as possible

Does not work. Tested with 12.00 and 12.50 (both up to date, both Windows 7). twitter.com is still completely broken. I think this depends on the language you use. The German version of the twitter scripts simply contains a syntax error (look at the Opera error console, it's there). I'm using m.twitter.com for the moment.
