Since there's no news piece on the release of 10.10, I'll ask here: can I switch off this logo thing in the new speed dial? I liked previews of whole pages better, now it centers around a logo, and often it does not look very nice (I mean, not the logos themselves look ugly, but centering often cuts the logo off and so on).

Click configure, disable auto zoom and set the number of columns. This should bring back the "old" look and feel to your speed dial!

Right click the speed dial entry and set a time for "Reload every", then reload the speed dial icon.

Thanks, Joonas, that seems to work most of the time. Though a note to Opera guys, an option to turn off cropping would be nice.

All this philosophy of being fast isn't reflected in all areas of Opera. There is no download acceleration, adding acceleration with a bandwidth limiter would complete the feature set.

So I can download and surf with Opera without interrupting my video streams all the time.

I think those only hold other apps back with what bandwidth you get, you can't change the bandwidth you get unless you pay more or free up some from other apps using bandwidth

All posts by opera are so different from other companies' blogs, no long and boring posts.
How do you people manage to find new features to add? Opera is already miles ahead of others. Thanks for this great browser

That doesn't answers the question. How to make Opera stop customizing the thumbnail (he just want the website thumbnails, not logos or zoom on specific part of the page or other kinds of optimization). How do you disable that new behavior? Maybe it's a thing to include as an option on the next version, maybe in a per-entry basis... wink

There are lots of simple and permanent changes listed here. Including good ideas to reorganize the speed dial without things being shuffled. There also is a trick to replace the preview with custom icon, if you really feel the need.

Ok Chirpie I told you it looks more like a bug.
