Opera 11.10 launched today with the new and improved Opera Turbo as well as the improved Speed Dial. Of the two it's hard to pick a favorite. The new Speed Dial has a unique flow to it and Turbo isn't only faster, it looks better as well!

Opera 11.01 rises to the top in the latest Lifehacker Browser Speed test! 6 tests where preformed, and Opera won three. In the DOM and CSS tests there wasn't even a doubt. We are also glad to see that Opera 11.01 did really well both in the startup and memory consumption tests.

As of version 11.10 (download the beta), Opera allows you to control how your website looks in Speed Dial. By default, Speed Dial uses a screen capture of the web site. But now site owners can specify an icon or serve Speed Dial-specific CSS or content.
So, in other words, you as a user can not control how the different sites looks in Speed Dial. It's up to the provider/website owners. We've modified My Opera to show custom content in the new Speed Dial flow. Let us know what you think.
