Opera is in Cape Town, South Africa this week exhibiting at Africa Com. This is the first time Opera has a booth at the show to feature Opera Turbo and Opera Mini. We are showing a variety of handsets running multiple versions of Opera Mini to ideally run in a market with many more basic feature phones used than smartphones.
We are running Opera Mini 3 to Opera Mini 5 beta to showcase the adaptability of Opera Mini. Also part of the booth is a netbook to display the benefits of Opera Turbo for users on a congested network. Opera already has a growing presence in Africa with South Africa consistently in the top ten list on our State of the Mobile Web report.
With our presence at the show we hope to meet new African operators that want to give their customers the best browsing experience available.

Check out the pictures from the Tweetup in San Fransisco! The first Opera Tweetup in the United States!
Great red and white organic wines, munching on amazing appetizers, and of course talk about Opera. Jon von Tetzchner Opera CEO, was also in attendance and had a chance to talk to almost everyone! 
In addition to conversation and wine, Opera "Browse Me" t-shirts, Frisbees, and "One Web" collectible bags where passed out to the crowd.

The Opera Backstage event we hosted in Wrocław (Thursday October 9) is a wrap! More than 120 people gathered to hear Håkon Wium Lie's talk "How long will the Web last?" at the bar 7 Kotów in Wrocław
It was a pleasure be in Wrocław to host an Opera Backstage event in the city where we now have the second largest Opera office. Oslo is the biggest, Wrocław number two, before Linköping in Sweden.
