Open Opera Dragonfly

,

Opera Dragonfly is the developer tool in Opera. Since it's launch back in 2007 it's been trough a rapid development all open source. It now has advanced features such as remote debugging allowing debugging on devices such as phones or tv!

Open Source allows any developer to have a peak at the code behind Dragonfly to peak under it's skirt or view the blueprints if you may.

Previously hosted on BitBucket it now resides with other Opera Open Source projects on GitHub! If you are able to make sense of all the code madness behind Opera Dragonfly check out the Opera Software GitHub account!

Opera Dragonfly open for business

,

Since the inception of Opera Dragonfly, it was planned for it to become an open source project. It has always been released under an open source BSD licence, but the source repositories were on Opera servers.

Starting yesterday, Opera Dragonfly is now a fully open source project, hosted on BitBucket. If you are a developer or just a fan of open source projects and want to know more about this, we strongly suggest you read David Storey's full article on the Opera Dragonfly blog.

Enjoy!
