Great news for all of you S60 folks: there's a freshly updated version of Opera Mini just for you!
As always in our releases, there were lots of little improvements, but the main focus in the new Opera Mini 7.1 was improving the download manager. From saving and resuming files when a download is interrupted to having dedicated folders for the music, movies and other files you download most, it's easier than ever before to get your favorite online content.
So go ahead and download the update for your phone now, right from here.
And let us know what you think!

Opera Mini is the world's most popular mobile browser... and growing! With thousands more people using Opera Mini every day, we have to keep building out and improving our services so that everyone is able to enjoy the web.
As part of that effort, we wanted to let you know that we are bringing a new data center online for Opera Mini this week. (If you're interested in knowing more about the technical considerations that went into this, you can read the full story here about which data center we chose and why.)
While the work is progressing, it's possible that there could be a few little hiccups. For example: you might not be able to access certain websites for brief periods. (If that happens, just be patient and try again a little later.)
It's also possible - but not likely - that you might see some pages displayed in a different language. (If that happens, let us know!)
Otherwise, however, we hope everything goes smoothly, and all of you can continue to enjoy using the mobile web with Opera Mini.

In the northern parts of the world, it's the time of year for all sorts of things to be made out of gingerbread: from houses, to cookies, to little gingerbread men.
These days there's also one more very important type of gingerbread, and that's the software that runs Android phones!
Nearly half of all Android users still have Gingerbread, which is also known as version 2.3+. (The latest version of Android is 4.2, otherwise known as Jellybean.)
Although Gingerbread has been out for a while now, it has quite a few features that still count as both innovative and handy
, from the ability to copy and paste text with one touch, to 3D maps!
If you're running Gingerbread on your Android phone, here are some tips and tricks from the Google Android blog we thought were pretty useful:
- Use your fingers to make an instant slide show: Put two fingers on two different photos in your image gallery. When you spread those fingers, all the photos in between will turn into a slide show!
- Long-hold the comma key for more punctuation options. Or just press and hold any key to access the special characters keyboard.
- Last but not least, use Opera Mini with Android Gingerbread to save money and time with your browsing!
What are some of your favorite tips and tricks for your Android phone?
