Choose Opera

South by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the premier film, music, and media technology festivals in the US. Opera was there last year (for the first time), and we're going to be back again this March...with a vengeance! More details will be announced soon, but we're planning to have a big presence at SXSW, and we hope to see as many Opera users (and Choose Opera members) there as possible.

In fact, if you're an Opera fan living in the Austin, Texas area, and the idea of going to SXSW appeals to you, I have something special to offer two lucky individuals.

We (Opera) have 2 spare registrations for the SXSW Interactive Festival, running from March 7-11. We will gladly give these registrations (at no charge) to 2 My Opera members who would like to attend, do a little volunteer work, and party with us in Austin.

Here's what we'd need from the 2 volunteers:

1. Spend some time manning the Opera tradeshow booth and other Opera events with us, talking with SXSW attendees about your Opera experience.
   
2. Attend different events at SXSW Interactive, such as keynotes, panels, and evening events like the Web Awards, and then blog about them on My Opera (during the event).
   
3. Help us to take videos of certain events (such as the Web Browser panel) that we would later post on My Opera.
   

Here's what you'd get:

• a Gold-level registration (which would normally cost $650 at the door) that allows full access to SXSW Interactive as well as the SXSW Film Conference and Festival (March 7-15)
  
• access to SXSW parties
  
• hanging out with Opera, and guaranteed swag
  

Requirements:

• You have to be available from at least Sunday-Tuesday, March 9-11.
  
• You have to be 18 or over (being 21+, however, will get you into more venues).
  
• You are able to provide your own transportation and lodging.
  
• You have a laptop you can bring and use, with Wi-Fi.
  
• Optional: You have a digital camera you can use to take photos, which will be uploaded to My Opera.
