What we're here for.

My name is Vyoma (pronounced Vioma ) and together with Lawrence I started this group for several reasons. As Lawrence already mentioned, this is an avenue for you to DO things instead of just discussing on forums.
We've come across so many Opera fans who want to do something to promote Opera, but have nowhere to go except to the Take Action forums. After a string of discussions, the idea usually fades away.
This is a place where good ideas will materialise and there are no such things as bad ideas. Ideas will be discussed democratically. Members can team up to launch a project or do it individually. Opera will support you all the way.
You must be wondering what kind of projects can be carried out. Well, the answer is anything and everything that spreads the word of Opera.
One of the basic projects is organizing a meetup. Send an email to your friends, classmates, colleagues and professors. Tell them about Opera the browser and that you're getting some people together at a cafe to introduce Opera. It's as simple as that!
Here are some topics you can talk about:
- Opera on Nintendo Wii & other devices
- Opera Mini, Opera's commitment to Web Standards
- Security on the Web with Opera
- Web 2.0 and Web 3.0
- The future of Web browsing
... and many more...
We'll be sending you *OPERA T-SHIRTS* that you can wear & flaunt
You can do design-related projects- like creating Opera banners, buttons, widgets etc- and promote them far and wide.
You can contact famous tech bloggerss and tell them how cool Opera is.
You can create an Opera quiz for non-Opera users who will have to find answers on www.opera.com and give out t-shirts to winners.
There are so many things you can do (I'm getting excited!!)
So let's get the ball rolling here...
WHO'S GONNA POST THE FIRST IDEA??
