This is more of a tips post for other ambassadors than a regular report. I've been an S60 ambassador for some time and have made countless people convert to S60, even before I became an S60 ambassador. One of the things that helps when I'm making a demonstration is that I know that people are after different things from their phones, but that everyone likes to be impressed. And that's why Opera Mini tends to slip into almost every demonstration I provide.
It's a wonderful application. I'm a bit of a webhead, always have been, and I always forsaw the fact that the future of the internet was mobile even before smartphones were publically available (something else I also predicted by the way, though surprisingly camera phones caught me completely off guard). With the release of Opera Mini 4 that future became a reality as the web was provided on all handsets as it appeared on desktop PCs. Since then there have been incremental updates providing access to new features and support for more web standards, culminating in today's release of Opera Mini 4.2.
I can't tell you how many times I've been singing the praises of S60 to someone on the fence and had Opera Mini impress them enough to upgrade their phones, where native applications had failed. So well does it handle rendering of web pages that I not only run my entire blog using it, but I wrote the CSS using it too making mine the first truly mobile blog on a full website - http://my.opera.com/Furie - to have a professional PC style to it. In fact, it's usually my page that I take people to first during Opera Mini demonstrations.
So this is my tip for all S60 ambassadors. If you're having trouble convincing people that phones really are as powerful as you say, download the new Opera Mini 4.2 at http://mini.opera.com and show people how the web has evolved to fit in the palm of your hand. There's not many people out there that you'll fail to impress that way.
Changed my Twitter status to celebrate the new launch.

And there's more to come when my network stops playing up.

Just posted this - http://my.opera.com/Furie/blog/show.dml/2760025 - aimed at the three and a half thousand of my readers who definitely read my page on their phones.
