All cats are grey...not!

This is not an accurate saying if applied to cats: nothing is more dissimilar than two cats!
I have had several cats in my life (or should I say more accurately : I have entered several cats' lives for you do not own a cat, but it owns you!) and they all have been so very diferent : the first one was female tabby whom we had had as a tiny kitten. She was quite agressive and shy. Why was she like that? We have never found out. She lived 17 years though.
Then, two rescued cats from the Cats Protection League (UK): the mother and her son. They could not be more different too: the son was a big black cat, a bit on the bully side with his mother, and she was extremely timid and insecure, always craving for attention. Sadly they both had to be put to sleep at the age of 15 and 16 respectively. It was the more humane way to go...
Lastly, Noisette, another rescued female cat, half siamese, who is very smart and affectionate which we adopted about 9 years ago. She keeps surprising us! One of the things that she has developed is when she sleeps she snuggles under the covers and lie right next to you, and when she gets too hot she pushes you with her paws! However, lately, I have noticed that she spends the night in my bed and then when I get up she wonders off to my mother's bedroom to join her in her bed! My mother gets up about 2 hours later than me, so Noisette finishes her night there. Another thing about her: she fetches things and brings them back in her mouth...
