Baragoi

Still waiting for a car or truck to hitchhike at 1^47' N / 36^47'E. The marketplace of Baragoi is literally the end of the world. Nothing drives north from here. We hope we reach soon to Lake Turkana, after 24hours doing nothing, Baragoi gets not more interesting.
We would also hike the remaining 90 kilometers, if there weren't a tribal war over some cattle on the way to South Horr.
The river is dried out. The pastoralists really have to struggle with the drought. In Pokot, where we visited friends before, people saw last time rain last year July.
The local Samburu people are interesting. They wear A LOT of jewellery, but just one big sheet as clothing. The men carry also their little mobile chair and a stick, knife or gun to take of their goats or cows.
