Today's Rant

What? I knew I should have stayed on my own turf, but oh no, I had to come back to Tx for a visit and to get my stuff. Sometimes families are a great source of enjoyment and security to your well being. In other cases, it is better to stay out of range of one another. They can be the cause of your insanity or of keeping your sanity. You really need each other, but best kept at a distance in a lot of cases. I suppose the days of families living together all generaions taking care of one another the young learning from the oldest great great grandparents are long gone. Along with close knit communities where everyone knows each other and kind of looks out for the well being of the neighborhood. Cook outs, block parties, old fashioned kindness for friends and strangers.
The break down of anyone actually doing something for someone else without any underlying motive, begins the domino
effect of the true and final break down of the family unit, educational system and government invasion into our society as we know it today. We also need to stop being so passive and once again stand up for our rights as citizens and for what we believe in and stop being controlled by the media and all the propaganda bullshit that is shoved down our throats here in this city, state, country. Do it for yourselves for all of us and for the future of our children.

It's sad that "old fashioned kindness" is old fashioned and not the norm or even in vogue. It used to be a requirement, really. Then it went to a quiet rule of thumb, then a vague suggestion...and now, it's an anomaly.
