Everybody wants to be first with a play. Premieres make more news, attract more grants and confer more prestige. There's often money involved--the theater premiering a play sometimes gets a piece of the subsequent action. It's understandable--and even applicable to other professions. Journalists pre ...

I really approve of your ideas expressed in these videos. However beign a British person sometimes living in the South - I have seen the "We can solve it" video before. It made me laugh out loud. It was so funny. We didn't wait for someone else to storm Normandy?! Please we stomred Normandy years before to protect France from the Nazis. We got our asses kicked but that's not the point, we were trying for years before we recieved any help. We didn't wait for someone else to assure Civil Rights? Please. We abolished slavery one hell of a long time before you guys and never even had the civil rights problems you guys did. Segragation was never an issue in the UK. And climate change?! Dear Lord. The United States is behind almost every other country in the world on that issue.
This is actually not meant to be a rant at your expense at all, from what I've seen you are cool peeps. But this video is laughable. It's about time the US finally gave a crap about the environment but from what I've seen of the South in particular, you guys have one hell of a long way to go. eople there use easily 5 times the gas they do here. Their heating or air-con is on perminently regardless of how many windows are open and I've never seen so many fast food joints in my life. The fruit and veg tastes like varnished plastic - possibly due to the low levels of organic production there.
I would actually like to hear your opinion on these issues. Maybe we totally agree with one another. mayeb there are things I have all wrong. Apart from my lousy typing that is. Xx

About the fruit and veg, I've heard that from a lot of people in America. My girlfriend is from SC and she used to be impressed with veg in the south. After visiting Europe not so much. The continent has some ugly ass veg but it tastes like nothing over there and the UK is like somewhere in between the two. There is a lot of waxing and water, Genetic Modification and such in the states that is rarely labelled. I will look thru your other blog entries with anticiption.
