A CRAZY DAY

Worried and worried these recent days but actually I did not know why. After having a quite perfect day with Vanessa, I got home and tried to convince myself that: "Oh, I am so silly, there is nothing to be afraid of, I am still ok."

10.00pm
The phone rang. Mama was calling and told me that I had to stop my studies in Germany because of some stupid reason from her. No feelings, nothing. I am use to being disappointed and people are use to disappointing my hopes and plans. My head seems to explode but I do not want to think much about that because I know I have to move on and find my chances. I have to keep studying and find my way out of the crazy circumstance.

Come on! Stop thinking about that. I can do it, right?

RELAXING WITH THE PROPOSAL

So stressed-out and wanted to relax. Didn't know why but felt worried and lazy. STRESS!
Went to the cinema with a friend and caught a flick "The Proposal". So cool. But we also had had a lot of problems before getting there. I went to her house a little bit late, it was raining, got thoroughly lost on the way to the cinema and inside the building Megastar, we were so crazy with buying tickets and choosing our seats. There were such crazy problems but overall we both had so much fun.

Thanks a lot, Vanessa!

THE BEST DAY

SONGS FROM MY SOUL- For you, daddy

THE BEST DAY- By Taylor Swift

I'm five years old and it's getting cold
I've got my big coat on
I hear your laugh and look up smiling at you
I run and run
Past the pumpkin patch and the tractor rides
Look now the sky is gold
I hug your legs and fall asleep on the way home

I don't know why all the trees change in the fall
I know you're not scared of anything at all
Don't know if Snow White's house is near or far away
But I know I had the best day with you today

I'm thirteen now and don't know how my friends could be so mean
I come home crying and you hold me tight and grab the keys
And we drive and drive until we found a town far enough away
And we talk and window shop till I forget their names

I don't know who I'm gonna talk to now at school
But I know I'm laughing on the car ride home with you
Don't know how long it's gonna take to feel ok
But I know I had the best day with you today

i have an excellent father
His strength is making me stronger
God smiles on my little brother
Inside and out he's better than I am

I grew up in a pretty house and i had space to run
And I had the best days with you

There is a video i found from back when i was three
You set up a paint set in the kitchen and you're talking to me
It's the age of princesses and pirate ships and the seven dwarfs
Daddy's smart and you're the prettiest lad in the whole wide world

Now i know why all the trees change in the fall
I know you were on my side even when I was wrong
And I love you for giving me your eyes
Staying back and watching me shine and I didn't know if you knew
So I'm taking this chance to say that i had the best day with you today

A BAD DAY

A BAD DAY

It is raining outside while my friend and I are playing chess and chatting. It is two months after the robbery happened but I cannot forget that moment…

In the early morning of November, as usual, I woke up at 5 A.M and prepared breakfast for my wife and two children. They were sleeping when the phone rang. I picked it up and answered. There was Josh- my best friend…

I left home at six o’clock. The weather was so cold and foggy. I went to the train station where I was working as a train driver. There was an important train in that day. We had to carry an amount of money from London King to Edinburgh. I was aware that it would be very dangerous and my mission was to take care of the money. My partner-Lucas- he looked so stressed-out. I reassured him that everything would be fine. He said “I’m really worried. I just want to go home soon and take a nap…”. I slapped him on the back then we started the train. The national bank sent four armed guards to go with us, but I did not know why they brought a cat. What could they do with him?... Our itinerary was so long. We would stop at Birmingham station for 15 minutes and then keep going to Edinburgh. I told myself I could finish my mission well and I prayed to God for that.

The train left at 10 A.M but the chief officer requested us to drive the train as slowly as possible. Maybe they wanted to control the money carefully and deal with the worst situations. Lucas and I took turns in driving. He drove from 10 A.M to 4 P.M and after that it was my turn. While he was driving, I was making coffee for the guards, my partner and me. The guards looked terribly austere in their uniforms. They never smiled and just stood there near a large money chest. They carried weird guns that I had never seen before. The train seemed to be gliding across the track. I could see beautiful sights along the road. I could smell the rich fragrance of wild flowers. It was so great and I loved it!

…At 10 P.M we went to Birmingham and we were really surprised when there were twelve other guards. Then I told Lucas that no one could steal the money because of the strong guards. We got a 15 minute break. I went to a canteen and ordered two coffees- one for me and one for Lucas. He was sitting at the terminal and seemed totally exhausted. I gave him a coffee. Suddenly a bomb exploded near to the train. I heard a scream and a cry; everyone was running in fear. I tried to wake Lucas up but it seemed impossible. He was drowsy. The twelve guards ran; some of them scattered and found where the bomb was. The others were trying to stop frightened passengers and carried them to a safer place. I saw a dog was chasing the guards’ cat. Everything was so chaotic…!

Josh called me again…

I entered the train and found that the four guards but they had disappeared with the money. Immediately I thought about the money and wondered what was happening. It happened so fast and unexpectedly. I stepped into a cab and realized the guards were there; they were faint. Of course, they did not protect the truck well and I was afraid that they could be fired… as me.

At that time the robbery was hot news. I could hear about it everywhere. It stunned the government and citizens, especially a banker named Bush- he was totally shocked. All the money he had robbed from poor villagers in a London suburb was gone. Finally, he went bankrupt. Unfortunately, the government could not find any evidence of the robbery. The robbers were so smart. Three months later, people in the suburb received lots of money but they did not know where it was from… The villagers used this money to rebuild their houses and invest in agriculture. After 1 year the suburb became richer and richer, the people’s lifestyles were improved.

Actually I think it would have happened sooner or later and the time we chose was right. Josh and I had to make a plan six months before the robbery happened. I knew exactly which times trains departed because I was a train driver. I did this job for twenty years until the money was stolen. After we made sure that the plan was completely perfect, we asked three other close friends to join with us. And now you know what happened. We were successful. When we decided to share the fruits: 15% each and the money left we gave to the villagers.

I quit my job right after I got my money. To me, it is a fortune and I can live the rest of my life with it. I do not need to worry about anything. I bought a new house for my family and we have moved there recently. I also keep in touch with Josh and the three others.

I feel satisfied with what I have done.

Sometimes you need to take a chance or take a risk… and then you might succeed.

MY FATHER IS NOT A HERO

MY FATHER IS NOT A HERO

“A father is much more than just another human being to his children” – (Thomas.W.Simpson).

-Dad, will you watch telly with me tomorrow? –Ted implored.
-Tomorrow? You mean the football match, don’t you...Oh, yes! That’s great! – His father replied enthusiastically.
-YEAH!!!!!........- the young boy yelled out.

It would be a good day for them but sometimes people couldn’t control everything in life. Poor Ted! He didn’t know that something really bad would happen to his father.

…He was lying on a bed and looked like he was sleeping. It was 2 days and everyone prayed that he could wake up or at least he could get better although doctors said it seemed impossible…too late. His 4-year-old son, Ted, thought that his father had to fight against a dark genie but no matter what happened his father was always a brave man. All of them expected a miracle but opposite what they wanted, they couldn’t do anything to keep him staying with them. He passed away. The miracle didn’t come.

The story had to become a tragedy if Ted didn’t get over and keep moving on, but here he did it. If he had told us he wasn’t sad, it would have been a lie. After his father’s death, it was really a hard time for Ted and his family. Sometimes his mother caught Ted sitting alone at a front door. She worried a lot because she was afraid he could be shock…His father-his hero- left him unexpectedly. When Ted saw his dad in hospital, he couldn’t believe that his dad sometimes was so weak; different to usual. He was this man with weaknesses. In addition, Ted cried, he wished life could bring his dad back so that they could live together and go wherever they liked. To a young boy like Ted, the father was a giant from whose shoulder he could see forever. His father was not perfect, of course, he made mistake but even if worse comes to worse, he never lied to Ted, never…That’s why Ted loves his dad as the whole being, not as a statue. Ted respects every moment with his father but now he realizes: Heroes are just human beings and they cannot live forever. Yet he doesn’t love him because he’s a hero, just because he’s Ted’s father.

The story here is also my story and Ted is my younger brother. My father is not a hero but the way he lived and brought us up has proved that he’s our hero.

"HERO" means someone who is Honest – Energetic – Realistic & Optimistic. That’s a real hero.
