D-Link helping hand or not?

Have the any help to offer on an easy way to give the help you needs.
I have tried to connect an camcorder to protect my home and I knows a lots of computer at home. Man can say that I'm an good and interested of the tecnich.
Accordingly to D-Link its only to place the camera where it can see your home then click on the wps-button on the camera and then on the wps button on the router. I say shit talk!!!
