No, I don't work for any comic book companies. I just sometimes draw the odd piece of comic book art here and there featuring characters that aren't mine.

About the mid-90s, a lady I met once (friend of my Mum's) had some ideas for some cartoons and wanted to put them on mugs, mousepads, books, etc.
She approached some of the major stores, but they wanted to see how well she'd do by herself before they invested any money (or shelf space) in it.
Of course, it would have cost quite a fair bit to print up and distribute, etc., so it all fell through.
