Tapping Away in the Middle of the Night

“Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?”

Nu Mars

, , , , , , , ,

Thousands of Australians today woke to find that not only they - but also everything around them - had been teleported to Mars in the largest alien abduction ever caught on film.

BEING ABDUCTED BY ALIENS - ALMOST AS GOOD AS AN ALARM CLOCK

The remarkable happenstance occurred first in Sydney, then worked its way up the east coast, engulfing Brisbane and surrounding suburbs.

LIKE THE COMMERCIAL SAYS, "NICE PLANET. KINDA DULL, THOUGHT".

News outlets, in an attempt to quell public panic, reported the horrifying close encounter as a 'dust storm', and bandied about terms such as 'strong winds', 'inland New South Wales yesterday', 'sustained period' and '16,000 tonnes of dirt every hour over South-East Queensland', the last a sentence which always sets off the internal alarms of conspiracy theorists everywhere.

That weather system's hitting NZ too (only torrential rain so far, but some of that dust might get here - the bush fire smoke certainly got here...)

That mask - that's hard core - tell me what bar you wear that to....:eyes:

David Scott Aubrey 24. September 2009, 00:23

Each of those rings are really hand-grenade pins ... ! :eyes:

I saw this on the news last week. Looks seriously cool, but I think I'd freak if I had woken up to that.
Were you warned beforehand?

David Scott Aubrey 29. September 2009, 21:33

Kind of. Sydney moreso than Brisbane, because it was expected to hit there hardest. Though, after Sydney, we (up here) had kind of an idea of what to expect. And apparently nobody was really told anything more than, "Wind will carry some dust from central New South Wales into Sydney tomorrow". Certainly people weren't told it'd look like it did.

To make matters worse, after water restrictions were eased for a week (or so), and people went to car-washes, karchered their houses, etc (well, not me ... I figure the rain'll take care of that sort of thing ... eventually), it came back a couple of days later!

Good time to own a car wash company, I think ...

Even with the house closed up, I could smell the dust in the air, and there was a layer of it on everything. But we got off easy in Ipswich, really ...

Freaky!
You're right about the car wash

David Scott Aubrey 3. October 2009, 23:53

Aaaaaaand ... we've gotten it a third time.

Good thing I haven't bothered to clean up from the first two yet ...
