Don't worry about the figures. The worst thing you can do is wear a dress that's too tight. A properly fitting dress is usually more flattering than one you squeeze into in the interests of a size label.
Get a friend to take the measurements in your case, it isn't possible to undertake it accurately by yourself.
Don't pull the tape measure too tight- it will rest lightly on your body.
Make sure you use inches OR centimetres not a wide selection of both.
Write each measurement down whenever you take it
Once you have taken your measurements start again and check each of them.
TO START MEASUREMENTS
Stand up straight with equal weight with both feet and arms getting some shut-eye easily at sides. Look straight in advance of you.
BUST
If you haven't got your wedding lingerie yet wear some sort of bra and panties that act like the style you will use. Your bust should be measured in the fullest part while you stand straight with all your arms at your sides.
WAIST
Tie a string lightly around your waist it's going to naturally settle at your waistline. Measure your waist where that string sits.
HIP
Measure 8-10″ below the waist to find the fullest hip. Measure the fullest the main hip, keeping the tape measure parallel to your floor.
LENGTH
Dress length is taken from the knob in the rear of the neck to the bottom of the hem. Back length is from the knob at the back of your neck to the archipelago around your waist. Skirt lengths without waistbands are extracted from natural waist at the centre into the bottom of the hem. Skirt lengths with waistbands are taken from the centre back, starting in the bottoom of the waistband to the bottom of the hem.
