This is the first part of one of my favorite all time anime/cartoons. This first episode depicts the Earth force fight against a superior war like race who has poisoned Earth beyond recognition until the entire race is threatened with extinction. We are very close to that today, although unlike this story, the destruction is coming from within. Very allegorical otherwise. I don't like depictions of violence and war generally but it serves a purpose here.
