Today is Nelson Mandela's birthday: the South African leader turns 94!

To mark Mandela Day, as the 18th of July has become known, people around the world are encouraged to do a good deed or perform some service for others. Giving 67 minutes of your time is a symbolic tribute to the 67 years Nelson Mandela devoted to campaigning for human rights.

One of Opera's partners in Africa, MTN is doing its part for Mandela Day, by facilitating people writing birthday messages for Mr. Mandela, or making pledges to do good deeds for others. These contributions will be compiled into a book by MTN, which will then be given to Mr Mandela as a birthday gift. You can add your thoughts to this book by going to MTN's website.
